Growing Problems past the seedling stage

im will move to flower phase starting friday. Im planing to reduce light for 1 hour each day, so after 6 days ill be at 12/12. You guys think thats enough? My panels should have more than enough red light, theyre for seed to harvest. Still i have 2 extra e27 bulbs with 70% red diodes...i wanted to add them to give a little extra "stimulus" and change the light spectrum a little more into red. I was a little disappointed to see they only have 6-7 watts each even with 200 diodes each. i measured them for par they put out about 50 PPFD at 4 inch distance and about 12-15 PPFD at 8 inch distance. You think its a good idea to use them or is it not needed?

i just saw a video about cutting clones close before harvest. It makes a lot of sense to me when you have several plants, you cut clones from the one that grew the best. In my case 1 plant is outstanding, grew bigger than other and didnt show 1 sign of any problems. Huge leaves. Now this guy just cut a few branches of and put them into a glas of water for 2-3 weeks on the windows. They all developed roots. Now i wasnt surprised about the facts you dont need any gels or supplements for that, nature alone does its job. But i learned that roots need darkness and also oxygen. When your soil is to wet for too long, roots suffer. But in this case it was fine.
I was going to do the same light change but went with the all in light switch. That way I have an accurate day to start counting flowering weeks. 🌱 🙃

This is the one I saw before trying it.

Got the impression they would have rooted for him had he thrown them in the toilet. I tried all of his methods with no success. Only significant change was I was using grow lights to keep them warm. Maybe the lights were the problem. I have the plugs on an actual seedling mat this time.

sooo.. i just cut off 4 pieces of my best plant and put them into a small pot just with wet soil. 1 Fan leave and 3 stems/branches. I know Fan Leaves are not supposed to work but it doesnt cost me so lets see what happens. Ill post some pics for the case it works.

I tried this once with extra clones in a glass with cloning gel to see if they would root. They had the same lighting as my clones and a heat mat with no luck. They lasted forever tho as an ornamental 😊

does anybody wanna give a guess if this is the right time to initiate flower? If i reduce the time now each day itll take another 6 days until theyre at 12/12..i cut almost nothing..i did top them once they reached 2 feet height (2 of them, one is smaller)..other that that i only cut a few small branches from the bottom for clones. Only next grow i wuill try things like topping and LST. I counted a lot of bud-sites or whatever you wanna call them...preflowers? About 30. Because some are very low they will become "popcorn-buds" i guess...but im not gonna cut them. Just by the pics you guys think its a good time now? 2 months past now.

edit: Ah and 1 more thing...does anybody know what the "folding" symptom means? Seems like all my leaves on all the plants are very gently folding together..right in the middle vein that runs through the complete leaves..they fold together like a book. just very slighty, you can hardly see it, but when you look from close up you can see they are not flat anymore. I havent changed anything on nutrients or lighting yet.??

I had something similar happen..... If your temp is good, and its not tacoed from heat, it could be the dreaded Green Plague.... Hop Latent Viroid .... I seen my leaves doing similar. Hop Latent Viroid – Dark Heart Nursery

I actually just murdered all my mothers because of it. I had to buy all new genetics.

Hopefully it's not what I suggest (fingers crossed)......

my symptom is not listed there. But did use such a site to diagnose my phosphorus def. in the beginning. Was very shy with fertilizer.

Its not a big deal though, just a very slight infolding. Ill start worrying once it gets more obvious. Whats your opinion on the maturity of plant/flowering stage?

I'm no expert, but it looks like heat stress to me. Mine looked similar until I dimmed the light whenever the tent was closed. When I switched the lighting to flower I only burned the light at night, but that didn't completely solve the problem. I have a bigger duct fan on the way to hopefully cool the tent a little more, and some additional ducting to draw air from a room with AC.

On flowering, I'm sure you can switch those. It probably a balance between how much height you have left in the tent, and how much weed you have left to smoke : )

What is the temp of your tent? This should eliminate it from the possible issues? I have never seen leaves taco in a room 80 degrees f or below, or the leaves almost touching the lite.

What is your tent temp?
