I'm confused here. "Granddaddy purple" has both clear and amber trichomes at the same time. I'm thinking that she has to come to her time, but don't want to harvest to soon. I went back 4 times to check. I am very impressed with this plant. She has the tightest, dense buds that I have ever seen. Input please, is she ready if amber is showing?

roddy, i already know about all about that. If you read my post again you may see that this plant is skipping the cloudy stage in ripeing unlike "Norml" plants that we all have. Thats why I'm alittle confused here. Now, alittle more input plz.

FUM, I have two GDPs that are just about ripe in my opinion. I checked my trichs and most are clear with a few amber ones starting to show. No cloudy ones seen as well. I guesstimate harvest day to be around the end of the month, maybe October 2nd or there abouts. But it could also be any day now. I'm hoping to escape the dreaded bud rot that I got this time of year for the past two seasons. So far so good. Good luck!

i am going to harvest some Cherry AK 47 this weekend and they have mostly clear, with only a few cloudy and some amber (will be eight weeks one day on Saturday ) . I tried some last weekend and it was good, but hey, you got to harvest when you can when it comes to outdoor.

I have grown GDP before and found that leaving it a little longer, maybe a week into October was good. Two years ago, I harvested one early (beginning of October) and one two weeks later. The Older Plant did much better at a good kick on the couch High. Both plants were outstanding though IMO. I was just looking for a more, couch variety.

Good luck to you.
