pictures speak better than words. Hope this helps fill in any thing I left out =)

Edit: ah well, I've already uploaded the LST pic in my grow journal, so I can't post it again =/

yup, this is an alternative of pinching, also you want to keep it off the soil, i used a marker cap to prop the stem off the soil.

your plants look pretty good i wish u luck im about to move mine to a bigger pot to..

hey, its been a while since an update, i unsuccessfully tried to do some LST and failed, but it was a good learning experience, and im gonna let them grow and straighten them out, and try again. this next time im gonna say with about 95% confidence that it will work. anyway, here are some pics of my babies - they're looking good, i moved them to a safer grow location, but the temp and humidity are all outta wack, so they havent grown TOO much, but they're adjusting nicely i'd say.

and now im looking at my pics and ionno what happened to a bunch of them, but w/e. and i forgot about what happened to my northern lights! i was trying to transplant her (*fingerscrossed*) and i accidentally ripped off most of the root structure, but even so she (*fingerscrossed*) seems to be recovering very well. poor baby has been through so much....

and so its been a fairly long while since any updates, so here they are. and now its time to play the what the hell is wrong with my plants game. of course the reason they're having problems is the miracle grow, im sure, and for the record, i tested the pH using litmus paper, and it looks like the pH is a bit low. But anyway, here they are, same day i transplanted the northern lights (the biggest one) and the other 3 are just in really small pots. anyway, let me know what you think is wrong with my plants!

Nute burn and lockout my friend. This is going to take some time to recover from as it is a pretty serious case. Give your babies a good flush with pH adjusted water. Once you start seeing new, healthy growth, start the nutes back up at 1/4 of full strength. Go easy on the babies and you'll be golden. ;)

i thought when you have seedlings like that your not spose to give any nutrients, because the soil alone should have enough to sustain them for a while. ?

I sometimes start nutes that early... It's all how you grow man. So many different ways to do it. :aok:

im starting to notice a trend with m.g. and nute problems...i dont use it,just from readin threads. is this common for mg on mj?

I am using MG soil (3 month feed stuff, same thing TBG uses) and knock on wood I haven't had any problems at all. Plants look healthy as can be 3 weeks into the grow. I am not giving any additional nutes though, thatll come during flowering.

well, its been a long time once again since an update, but everything is looking nice if a little leggy and stretched, but i should be investing in a nice 150watt hps bulb for them. I also took a small cutting from the northern lights and started that on a 12/12 schedule to see what sex it is, so ill probably have questions about that in a few weeks. also, i just put the two into the bucket the day i took the picture, so they're a little droopy, but they already perked up in the same day. anyway, without further adieu here they are. enjoy.

btw is there any way to get my plants to bush out a lot more at this point, or should i just let these be and really train some new ones next time? i was reading most significant pruning should be done early in its life, but i would like some second and third opinions. also, how tall does northern lights generally get, and if it is a male plant, do you think i should cross it with (hopefully) one of the other plants? thanks!
