The one and only clone I bought was from a dispensary. It was the Black Vietnamese/Northern Lights strain that I cloned and grew out. The guy told me the history of the strain, the development, and the fact they had "bugs". He gave me some white liquid stuff and told me how to mix it with water and spray 'em. I isolated them from my grow room and followed his instructions. Never saw a bug, and never had any problems with 'em.

They'd claimed the plants were a 12 week flower. Nope. 14 weeks, and 16 was peak. It was great smoke, but I've had as good that finished a lot faster, so I dropped it.

Isolating new plants is a smart move anytime. I've pondered buying a clone from the local shop. Hell, they're only $20. That's way better than a single seed offering at a seed shop.

Clones stands for you better think like they are infested whether you see it or not. I have never used a clone but every old time grower on YouTube has isolated and “bombed” the plants with massive spraying before they are allowed in the grow room.

I hate bugs on my plants so much I loathe to trade smoke with other people

Of course in the days of compressed bales of pot then break it all apart I feel confident there were neither pesticides or bugs because the cartels just wouldn’t do that to us

Helped split up a bale of "Columbian" weed once. It was Jamaican. You could see the Paraquat spots on a few of the buds. Looked straw yellow/brown, and when you touched it, it would turn into powder. We pitched anything with a yellow spot on it.
