I have had my garden outside since they were brand new. I started with 18 and ended up with 14. They are trained and were bent down during their growth so they are short and wider with lots of cola. But we have had a wet summer and even though they are not that tall they are starting to flower already here in New England. I am worried about them and was wondering if I should bring them into my grow room and let them flower under controlled conditions. Any suggestions? With all the rain we had I never really fed them much because they were wet a lot. I was told to wrap burlap around the base of them at night and unwrap in the morning. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

No... That is unless you want to totally contaminate your grow room. I would suggest that you take some cuts from them if you like, clone them in a separate area , along with a No Pest Strip for good measure. I would suggest using a bubbler to cut down on the chance of mold

SFC is saying that if you bring plants from outside inside you have a chance of bringing in pests that will take up residence in your grow room--things like the dreaded spider mites. If you like the strain, take some clones, put them in an area other than your grow room, and keep an eye out for any kind of pests that may be on the clones. A bubbler is a type of hydroponic system. I do not know however how the use of a bubbler cuts down on the chance of mold.

What is the purpose of wrapping the base of the plants with burlap?

My grow room is currently empty due to the fact I was taking advantage of the summer sun. I was told that the burlap wrapped around the base will keep them warm at night since it seems to be getting chilly..but only in the 60's..after reading some of these post it seems that they should be ok on their own..they are looking great today :)
