Breeder seeds vs self grown seeds

I was reading an old post from '04 or '05 yesterday, wherein someone said the seeds/plants resulting from parent plants will not be as good as the seeds that generated the parent plants.

Is this true?

hee hee hee.. it is going to depend on the quality of your selective process..AND how the genetics combine, what the results will be.. IMO.
You could receive several different phenotypes, some of which "could" be better, "could" be not as good, "could" be very similar in quality.

Ok, let me try this. I bought some WW seeds from a marijuana-seeds.nl

Can you predict the general results of the seeds I get from a male and female?

IMO..yes that is true.. but I'm happy that these (mid grad or kinda ok weed) has some seeds.. which they has already breed... as long they did not breed with hermie.. it should be better than what you have smoked.. remember these seeds is 50/50 chance of female..and you can improve their ratio.. we got info here how to do that.. what's under my belt I only know basic breeding..but breeding to be feminized seeds..I'm learning how to do it.. but have not experienced it yet.. but keep in your mind.. any seeds that came from 70s, 80s that would be good stuff than we got today.. it just depends on genetics.. if we did breed both male/female or female /female (forced Ga3 to turn hermie) but has strong female genetic will product good female seeds.. as long these weeds was so good.. then you are in luck to have some dank weed in the future.. like white widow + AFG.. then that would be a bomb weed!! but also I do learn seedless weeds is also good too...

IMO/E.. well bred, stable strains "should" return 'relatively' stable and similar plants to the parents.
