Yep I use peat mixed with Pearlite/vermiculite. I add Jacks cal/nit and epsom salts. Veg I just use the classic Jacks. For flower I use Jacks Blossom boost with the Cal/nit and epsom every feeding 1/4 tsp of each per gal of water. I water when dry. Every 2-3 days lately 3 days now that it is cooler outside. If I find pests I use DE, BT or Neem oil. All wash off easy and do not leave residue. I wash my weed at harvest. With juice from 1/2 of a lemon and 1/2 c baking soda and 2 rinses. All in 5 gal buckets. I use a 3 bucket system.
 
I'm coco/pearlite and have found I need to water enough that there is runoff
It acts to flush the pot and keep salts from building up.
Salts building up in the medium will lower the PH even further
Those salts have an osmosis effect on the plant thats not good.

good morning, yellowing leaves seems to have slowed down, thank god !!! i have another question though, maybe you can help with. i got one of them digital microscopes because i read that you need to look at the color of the trichomes to determine when to harvest. i got 44 days into flowering and this is what they look like ( ill post pictures, i'll take more today) from the pictures that ive seen on the web pages it looks like i got maybe another 2 weeks to harvest. does that sound right? thanks george

thanks guys, appreciate the info. i was hoping my plants werent ready, would have been a very dismal harvest LOL , maybe like 3 or 4 ozs, total. now maybe ill get enough to make it worth the huge effort. enough to smoke for a day or two ROTFL

At least 2 weeks maybe more Trics look good but no amber yet. You will need to find out where your sweet spot is. I like 20-25% amber. More than that and I put it in salve or edibles for sleeping meds. Some like up to 50% amber. That melts me into the couch stoned to the bone. Works great for sleep though. Some take them as soon as they see all milky white with almost no amber. It is really a preference.
 
I'd keep checking it. It's still early and growing which means new clear triches will develop for a while. I'm experiencing that right now with a plant I'll prob harvest by this weekend.

Post a few pics of the bud with the scope pics.

i ended up buying girl scout cookies from a place called I49 in ft lauderdale , fla. 10 seeds $40, but i have a problem maybe you can answer, i got two bags of fox farms happy frog soil, right out of the bag the ph was 5.4, so i added some soil ph up (

Earth Science Fast Acting Lime - (5lb) Instantly Raise pH of Soil )​

last week. the soil is in a 40 gallon tote, i put one bag in(12 quarts) and mixed it really good added water, distilled, till the moisture content was 15 %, checked ph and it was 6.5, everyday i checked and it slowly went up to 7.5. , so yesterday i added the other 12 quart bag(ph of 5.4) and mixed it up really good, did slurry test and it was 6.5, today i did another slurry test and its up to 6.8. besides buying fox farms soil what am i doing wrong ? thanks george of the jungle

Yeah I am not going to be help here. I never have and never will check my PH for soil. I used to use the FF lines even their nutes it was just too expensive. I switched to Jack's and never looked back. The ph in soil will always bounce around. I don't let things worry me especially if the girls are healthy. Plant your beans and watch them grow. The FF line is good just expensive.
