o.k. now i took some shots of this girl last night and posetd one for the BOTM (i dont stand a chance lol) great shots so far in there but here sthe thing she is flowered for about 3.5 to 4 weeks and isnt showing signs of budding really to me (at least not like what im seeing in the other pics) now is this a thing that will happen all of a sudden here in the next couple of weeks or is this not normal for this stage of growth

i read a post in on here that said something to the effect that plants in flower will have brusts of growth at points during flower (cant remeber which one i was ill see if i cant find it again) is this what i should be watching for now ive looked at the trichs and they are still clear to me so im sure its not harvest time yet (though im quite ready :D ) heres a couple of pics of her that i have now

What kind of light are you using? Some strains take longer than others to get going. Your plant looks fine at 3 weeks of flower. She will start packing it on trust me. ;)

im using 4 4' fluro side grow style with 6 40w T12 G.E. kitchen and bath 3400 lumns 3000K (i think) and 2 Vitalite 40w T12 full spectrum 2400 lumn 2600K and a G.E. 42w CFL (150w=) warm whites 2700 lumn and 2400K (again i think cant remember the # off the package) total lumn in box is 27,900 lumn box is 2'dX2.5'wX8'h with fans and the whole shebang in there the air humidity is around 35% and temps are 90f (air) and about 80F soil

Temps are a bit high. I would try and get them down below 85% if ya can.

working on that as we speak lol didnt have enough ventilation at the bottom of the box for fresh air drilled some holes 3/8" about 40 of them cheese grater style in one side and im going to add abigger fan to it now only a 4" but going to upgrade to a 8-10 (after payday :( ) to move some more air around as for fans i have 4 other 4" ones in the box 3 to pull air out the top and one mid way up moving air up too

I agree with TBG bring your temps down. I would say shoot for mid 70's but your temps being so hi as it is mite be hard. And how far away are your lights from the plants? I seen the side lights whats on the top?

i have the CFLS up to the top for the plants to grow toward

Does anyone think 80-82 degrees F is too hot?, great air flow..can 33 ++ 2 fans vented..1000w HPS about 250 sq ft with outside air intake .....really want to avoid those mites......

I think 80-82 is a tad bit hi. But people will disagree with me and say its fine and it can be ok if thats as low as you can go. Ive seen it grow fine at those temps. Personally with my 1000w hps I like to keep the temps at about 75-78 and that works good for me.

Get them as close as you can without burning them. No HID light eh?

not yet im thinking or doing a rebuild on my box once im done with this grow in it so i can make it a little bigger and more manageable plant and potter wise and the CFLS are about 6" off the top of my plants (you cant tell this on the indy cause i also have a sativa that grown about a foot in a month above the indy so they are up there just above it )

a bit of an update my temps have dropped a bit (down to 85 air and about 75 soil ) and i took a look at my trichs and they are still clear looked like likkte shrooms on the leaf so thats a good sign of production at least

No HID light is probably why your buds may not be as big as some.
Could be the strain as well.
Looks good though and im sure your going to get quite a bit there.

I think they look well for under flos. You will never getbthe thickness and short internodes with a flo. They look like they need a trim. Give her a nice one by cutting those yellow fans off and at least 6 inches from the dirt. That will let the plant use more energy towards the nugs. As it will also help against bugs. You only want minimal arms on her dont cut too much but she needs more light to hit the bottom. Keep temp at 80-85 with no co2, 90 with co2

interesting thoughts there i had thought of trimming off the fans about a week ago but didnt because they didnt really look too dead yellow to me so i let them do their thing an dlet it go but it would seem more benifical to the plant to be able to process less stalk and leave energy and produce more flower and nug energy .... any one else done this about half way thru a flower how did it come out

I do it with every batch with great success. Make sure you dont clip too many fans though just the ones that are looking bad. Dont feel bad about giving them a good hair cut it wont hurt. **** luck

i think im gonna try that and see ill jsut take off the main stem (stalk) fans and see what happens... thanks for the info

Photosynthesis takes place primarily in plant leaves, and little to none occurs in stems, etc.........What it is..

The leaf is the primary site of photosynthesis in plants.....from Wikopedia..

How do plants make food?

" Green plants are the only plants that produce oxygen and make food, which is called photosynthesis. Photosynthesis means ''putting together with light.'' This takes place in chloroplasts, which have chlorophyll in them. Chlorophyll absorbs the sunlight. From sunlight, green plants combine carbon dioxide and water to make sugar and oxygen. Green plants use sugar to make starch, fats, and proteins. There are tiny pores called stomota. Oxygen and carbon dioxide enter and leave through the stomata."..

The leaves are where the "stomata" are located, and are required for photosynthesis. IMHO..removing leaves is cutting off the very life source.

your buds wont swelling up until
majority of your fan leaves start yellowing and falling off.
in my experience..
