Are there any problems venting to your attic??
my neighbours live close and its seems best, although ive never been up there.........yet.
the instructions with my 6 inch vortex say never vent to attic, but why noy????

any opinions or other ideas..

IMO
venting to the attic is ok as long as you get above your insulation.

The warning i think is if there is a fire or sparks the fan will blow it to the attic and then huge fire because its hot and very dry up there.
Not to mention the insulation is most likely flammable.

BE SAFE

I've been venting to the attic for over 10 years without any problems. Just as framingman001 said, BE SAFE.

do i need to be concern with the size of the attic???

it looks like there are atleast 4 vents on my roof.

You should be real concerned with the moisture that will be exhausted in your attic and the resulting mold that can happen. IMO, exhaust should be run to the outside unless you have a large attic exhaust fan.

If your insulation is flammable, move out now.

If ya vent into attic space...why not just continue the pipe to a vent that exits roof? preferably a bath fath...conect close to roof with a "wye" conector..also I find it helpfull after posting a concern..scroll down to bottom of page..you will fin simmular questions that have been asked..search threw those for some help as well..I find that better for me then the search engine here..Hope this helps..Take care and be safe
