Hello all I have a question about topping I know it is a way create a bushier plant but I also know that you can light stress train a plant by tieing the main stem and secondaries down my question is which one is better
in your opinion of course

Not "Light Stress Training" it is Low Stress Training. People do both all the time. Low Stress is tying down and Supercropping aka Topping is High Stress Training. I don't LST (Don't like vegging long enough) but Top and get great results.

i am going to try topping for the first time this grow. i hope everything goes well...

It is sooo cool to cut it then see two small growths popping out 2-3 days later.

Hello Avenra!

I think it depends on your conditions and your goals. Alot of people do both, some top, some LST, some FIM, some do neither.

If you have height restrictions then you'll probably want to do both. If you're looking for that big fat cola- then maybe you don't want to do either.

I have grown plants of the same strain in the same space (under 2 lights)- topped some, LST'd some, left some alone. I did not find any significant difference in yield per plant.

Tell us what you're trying to accomplish and you'll get some spot on advice.

Just my opinion. Happy Growing!

LST is the best method imo... i also do a little hst on weak stems

hello thanks i am actually growing outside so space is not a question but what i want is a big fat bushy plant
