I’ve never done it before but just watched a YouTube on doing it with a tomato plant. I would think it may suffer just a bit from the stress of going from water to soil but I think they would come back quickly.

I've transplanted many plants from water to soil with no problems. Just keep them wet for a bit until they get use to the dirt.
 
Usually when I see clones being rooted, It is in some hydro contraption like that one and its like 70.00 off
 
So I know a lot of people on this forum grow inside. What do you do when your plants grow all the way up to the top of the lights?
 
I keep them cropped. I've never had one to touch the lights. Outdoors when they touch the top of the pot pen, I hook a wire about a foot down from the top and pull 'em over. You could do the same with indoor plants that get unruly.
 
I had no Idea that autos could get so big. I was thinking this at the most. Those are usually my autos
