There are diff speed pumps also, you need specs off the old one, and then pretty straight forward swap out
Wire in the same way, or if newer model in place of an ancient relic follow pump diagrams (new one)
You will need to shut down bioler and shut off water input to it, Does it have a shut off for pump out to the system so you do not have to drain the whole thing out? I hope so because then its easy peasy.

I just hate messing with water and electricity all in the same job site situation .. I should be OK. - One or the other - Just not both at the same time.

But if you change out the one on it now with new one you will need to run the wires from old to the new one.
But Im sure you know this and are referring to changing out the electrical system all together.
Not hard to do either.
