Good LuckIt has almost quit draining, I get a tiny spec and sometimes nothing. I will know more after Jan 30.
See we have much in common than you knowJust remember, I'm not unsocial, I just don't like people. I usually don't talk much, but I do read a lot it keeps me out of trouble. Which my mouth, and fingers gets me into. Sometimes I'm more active, sometimes I'm asleep on the job.
5 gallons of lead weighs about 473.2 lbs.Got a short burst on energy, so I went out and backed the MDD outta the middle barn so the Old Hen could get to the closets to put her Xmas stuff up, took the Kubota and fixed the road where the county plow messed it up (he left a six inch ridge of gravel right in front of everyone's driveway), took the ATV out for a quick blast, and then loaded up a 5 gallon bucketful of lead in the FEL. Thought I could just put the bucket down to ground level and roll the lead bucket in. Any idea how much a bucket of lead weighs? Had to unload it a piece at a time 'til I got down to about an eighth of a bucket. It's all in the middle barn now. I figure that's were I'm gonna do my casting this winter.
I usually do my casting outside, but with the way the weather's been, I figure it'll be safer just inside the barn door with the entry door open for ventilation. Don't need rain drops/snow flakes in the molten metal. It's always good for a visit from the tinsel fairy.
