Got brownie points today. The Old Hen bought a five piece set of Hallmark's Peanuts band wireless Christmas thingies. She bought them back in 2011. Two of 'em worked, and the other three didn't. They had the original batteries in 'em. Put new batteries in the three. Nope. Looked closely at the contacts. Corroded. Put some acid on 'em to clean 'em. Nope. Wound up cutting down an emery board, held the springs with a pair of hemostats, and sanded 'em. Fresh batteries and the world is lovely. Old Hen was ecstatic.
She came in this morning to thank me again with tears running down her face from happiness. I was just as happy as she was 'cause I'd found the exact set on fleabay for $350 and was figuring out a way to have 'em overnighted.

These things are pretty cool. You push a button on one and they play their song while the others chime in with their accompaniment. Each one has a different song and the other ones play harmony. They sure meant a lot to the wife.

Afternoon folks, doing Christmas with the wife's family. It's starting to wind down, which is a good thing as I am stuffed and done sampled all the deserts. Hot chocolate with bailey's and peppermint schnapps, pretty damn good. Hope yall are having a good day. Oh on the popcorn popper I like the air poppers.

My baby brother and his wife always steal everybody's lighter. I haven't smoked cigarettes in years but when I get around them I always steal every lighter they show up with. I would give them to dad before we left to come back home. Wish he was still around.

Back in the late 60s- early 80s, ya couldn't blame a stoner for pocketing a Bic. It wasn't on purpose.
I did notice that when I bought the pink ones, they always seemed to come back.

My SPR partners and I used to steal each others lighters and give them back Christmas, in a contest to see who could steal the most. I only had white ones, Eloquentsolution had red, and Pharmerjoe had blue.

Eloquent solution was the better thief.
