I went out with my camera, because it was sunny, and nice. I happen to walk to the side of the house, and there was a big bird about 30-40 yards away, way up in a popular tree. I just took a few steps, and tried my zoom, it was a red tail hawk. It was cool looking, I saw it looking around and moving, like I was watching up close. I took a few pics, and the last one I took, it was flying away, so I got a hawk butt...lol

I've seen lots of Blue Herons here and a few Bald Eagles, especially along the Columbia River where I had Illusions moored. A problem when they pick your masthead for a roost.
 
I usually saw the ones around here when I was mowing the back field. I'd see the shadow first and then the critter with their long legs dangling out the rear. Used to see turkey vultures, too.
