The worst man trapped under a car call was
At dinner time one night a call came out for man under a car
I was 1st at scene and it turned out to be a guy under a motor home that had rolled back on him, trapping him under the water tank.
His wife had used there other car to try and push the motor home back up off him, and that car went on fire. The fire was in the engine which was now under the two 20lb propane tanks mounted to rear of MH. At this time I was able to pull the man out because he had told his wife to push it off with her car prior to my arrival.
Motor mount had broken and caused car to go into high revs and caused fire, Guy went to hospital with some broken ribs. Fire extinguished .

I've personally known two different people who were killed under cars. The last one was a friend who was changing the pinion seal in his rear differential. Had one side up on a floor jack (no GD Jack Stands!) with all four tires on the car, and as he was tightening the pinion nut, the Expedition rolled off the floor jack and the pumpkin landed on his chest. It cracked his sternum, which was apparently survivable, but he suffocated under the rear end because nobody was around to help.

Safety has always been first and foremost with any endeavor I undertake. The guys in the shops I've worked in all knew that I was the Shop Safety Notsee because I was always quite vocal about it.

I'm heading up shortly to get some brake pads for mama's car, and when I put them on, I won't be under the car, I'll be sitting in a roll-around creeper seat - there will still be a jack stand supporting that car.

I am going to use my propane torch very quickly and carefully
Just to warm them enough to become malleable enough to pull them off. Easier to remove then get back on.
To put back on boil a cup of water drop one in for a few sec
and put it back in place Easy peasy

I have a roller stool ( i am sitting on it now) that I use. Also for cleaning the alloy wheels.

People do not realize that a set of 50 dollar jacks stands and 2 mins to place them can save their lives
