I did my revokable trust last week, it should be ready to sign within a week or two...no way will the government or my daughter get any of my estate...fuggem
Or your daughter? I am doing and have been preparing to give her as much as I can. One thing I don't want is to have the IRS come after here at a later date because I didn't follow the rule.....they will end up going after her. It is just good estate planning.

Our 30 year old, mostly dependent daughter, hates me for some reason. It breaks my heart.
I spent an hour at the DOR just yesterday, getting (and paying for) her two-year-expired license plate renewal.
Not even a 'thanks'. I just don't get it, except that our ideologies are kinda diametrically opposed.
But I don't hate her for being wrong...and she can have my clunky old pickup. ;)

Huh? NobodyevertoldmeTHATshit!
Dang. One more lousy thing to 'look forward to' in my "Golden Years" (old age).
Yup, take good care of yourself when you are young so you can suffer with old age for years.

This guy needs to take a dirt nap!!!..........

Last gun show I took the wife to cost $7 a head to get in, but seniors only paid $5. I walked up to the ticket dude and said, "Two golden oldies, please."
The dude laughed so hard I thought he was gonna piss his britches.
I used to ignore veteran discounts, until my wife convinced me that I'd earned them, and since they were offered...and since we're in Lowe's anyway...but on another cool front, as a senior I'll never have to buy another catchin' license (I don't GO 'fishin' ;-p) unless I go for Trout, which I don't eat.

An aside - my BIL decided he wanted to get a firearm for self defense after Michael Brown, 'caused he lives near there. He's a couple years younger than me, and his knowledge level was literally at the "AR means Assault Rifle" level. He handled a .22 cartridge with kid gloves - until I threw it on the floor to show him it was safe. Literally.

We did some classes and a simulator, spent some time on the range, and I took him to a pretty good sized gun show.
Thought his eyeballs were gonna pop out. Like far too many people, he had no idea about the 2A thing.

Best rock and roll song ever recorded

didn't Robert Plant or was it Jimmy Page that bought the Aleister Crowley house . . he wrote Stairway to Heaven after that house purchase ..

Won't find it in that old vessel.
Time to lift up your eyes

the God inside is the same as above .. it's like a recording device of your entire life .. bad or good content is your choice, .. but ..

I do know that Texas changed its nursing home claims on a person's estate from 5 yrs before a contract signed to now 10 yrs before .. they only care about greed

I've told both my kids when I know it's over and before I lose my cognitive senses that I will drive way out to the Chihuahuan desert and further on down rocky dirt trails and just die .. buzzard meat

..

Been out harvesting peppers, cukes, squash, maters and beets. Will this ever end. Jars and dehydrator are being put to use. Clean up time is here as well. This is a process though and will take through November. Horseradish will be the final nail in the coffin on this years effort.

Then I will be able to put 100% of my effort on my indoor so I can do this all over again next spring.

Doing the same thing but eating 3 lbs of uncooked pop corn
give em something to talk about
I found a place in the Nashville area. It is a forensic place, that studies how bodies break down after death. (For criminal forensic purposes.) They may just leave you out in the open, trunk of car, etc in order to help with things like time of death and so forth. I like the idea of just laying in a field in the middle of nowhere.

The motion of being in a casket unnerves me to no end. Irrational, but never the less
