We were having a problem with youths running over our garbage cans in the early morning hrs. We had the old steel basic round galvanized cans
They look the same turned upside down as right side up.
We would flip an empty can over the fire hydrant in front of house and put 2 more cans on either side. One hit took care of the neighborhood can smasher.
I love the young couple who built a big snowman on a 8 foot stump. A car tried to take it out and did not make out that good.

Wow. I've thought about that a couple times - there was a kid running around my 'hood bashing mailboxes and he got mine. So...I buried me a 6X6 post and put a 35 pound cast iron mailbox on top of it. That was 20 year ago, and my mailbox doesn't have a scratch on it to this day, but I've often wondered if an elbow could survive a swing at the thing.
Kid was also doing yard jobs, but John Law said studs with nails in the yard was a trap and I'd be liable.
For damages. To a vehicle intentionally driving THROUGH MY YARD and destroying it. 😤
They finally busted him for selling coke and the whole family moved away.

Had a kid like that in my neighborhood. Where he would go through the yard I sank a 3 or 4 foot piece of rebar into the ground about 18-22 inches above ground in a couple strategic locations. One day, one bent over, and a trail of oily clearish liquid going away. Other side of block as far as he got. Back bumper cover pulled back to a point.....Showed a police officer a video of what he had done previously. Pointed to Glock 17 on my hip and told him if he comes through here again I will shoot. he laughed! I told him to go inquire to his municipal judge (who I know well) if he thinks Im serious. Either you go have a talk with this dude, or I am. Never happened again. Yet.
