Most likely nerve damage, I too suffer like this, It sucks
After having 90 staples in my belly, the doctors have been trying to deal with the nerve damage in my abdomen and have been prescribing me drugs that I refuse to take. I have tried at least a half a dozen medication‘s to help tone down the pain from the surgery And have come to the conclusion that a lidocaine patch will do more than the medication they want to stuff in me…there is really nothing they can do about nerve damage except prescribe opiates

Need to get rid of a 1969 Columbia 43’ sailboat in BEAUFORT, NC. My father in law recently had a stroke and was working on it so it needs some work--keel, rudder, some fiberglass repair, and maybe a few other small things. According to him the engine works. I am not a boat person so I really have no idea what the value is given its condition. I know he paid around $7K for it in roughly the same condition but we want to get rid of it. I am posting some of the pictures I have. I may have some other pictures but I will have to dig around. If anyone has interest in taking over this project please let me know the value you are willing to pay for it. If the value is "FREE" or "Will take over boatyard payment" then I trust you. Likewise, if anyone has advice on how to get rid of it I am all ears!
UPDATE: I am getting a lot more interest than I thought I would. This is a passionate group! I should mention that I will not be able to come down to the boatyard for two weeks (Labor Day weekend). In the meantime, I will check with the boatyard on letting someone in to check the boat out for anyone interested in looking at it. I will also put more pictures up tomorrow to give everyone a better sense of what we have. Thanks for the interest so far!
UPDATE 2: Added more pictures. Looks like the rudder was removed. Also trying to give a better sense of what condition everything is in for those who are serious about taking it. We are going to figure out how to let people have access if they want to get a closer look at it when they open tomorrow. Thanks for patience as we figure this out. Everyone has been great. Makes me want to be a boat person!
UPDATE 3: Someone off here checked it out yesterday and I got a more complete sense of what shape it is in at the moment. He sent some pics and videos and is interested depending on condition of motor. If he takes it I will let the group know. If not, I will update with more photos and video he took of the interior (no longer looks like in pictures above)--father in law was clearly having issues before he ended up in hospital.
