When I was 10 years old, a friend of mine shot me in the right leg just below my knee. I was too afraid to tell my parents, so I just let it sit there for a year. The following summer it decided it was going to come out and it look like it was covered with thousand island dressing when it did finally pop out… the summer after that I put a puma skinning knife into my femur so hard I couldn’t get the knife out… my mother had white hair at 35 years old because of me

there is really nothing they can do about nerve damage except prescribe opiates
After having 90 staples in my belly, the doctors have been trying to deal with the nerve damage in my abdomen and have been prescribing me drugs that I refuse to take. I have tried at least a half a dozen medication‘s to help tone down the pain from the surgery And have come to the conclusion that a lidocaine patch will do more than the medication they want to stuff in me…

i hear ya Brother

when they replaced my broken hip bone , I think they used a sawzall to make the incision

cut through ligaments , tendons , and muscles with no regard for the after effects

now they have out patient same day non evasive hip replacement surgery…go home the same dam day!

so yeah , neuropathy pain in hip and now the left side of my face and scalp

I have been smoking copious amounts of cannabis this week and boy howdy am I glad I have some weed

Need to get rid of a 1969 Columbia 43’ sailboat in BEAUFORT, NC. My father in law recently had a stroke and was working on it so it needs some work--keel, rudder, some fiberglass repair, and maybe a few other small things. According to him the engine works. I am not a boat person so I really have no idea what the value is given its condition. I know he paid around $7K for it in roughly the same condition but we want to get rid of it. I am posting some of the pictures I have. I may have some other pictures but I will have to dig around. If anyone has interest in taking over this project please let me know the value you are willing to pay for it. If the value is "FREE" or "Will take over boatyard payment" then I trust you. Likewise, if anyone has advice on how to get rid of it I am all ears!
UPDATE: I am getting a lot more interest than I thought I would. This is a passionate group! I should mention that I will not be able to come down to the boatyard for two weeks (Labor Day weekend). In the meantime, I will check with the boatyard on letting someone in to check the boat out for anyone interested in looking at it. I will also put more pictures up tomorrow to give everyone a better sense of what we have. Thanks for the interest so far!
UPDATE 2: Added more pictures. Looks like the rudder was removed. Also trying to give a better sense of what condition everything is in for those who are serious about taking it. We are going to figure out how to let people have access if they want to get a closer look at it when they open tomorrow. Thanks for patience as we figure this out. Everyone has been great. Makes me want to be a boat person!
UPDATE 3: Someone off here checked it out yesterday and I got a more complete sense of what shape it is in at the moment. He sent some pics and videos and is interested depending on condition of motor. If he takes it I will let the group know. If not, I will update with more photos and video he took of the interior (no longer looks like in pictures above)--father in law was clearly having issues before he ended up in hospital.

cool beans!

thanksmfor the link!

lots of deals like that the last time florida had a hurricane , some really good deals for sure

we are looking for a turnkey sailboat , there is plenty of maintenance that is frequently required let alone a project boat

Here is sumpin completely different.

Unbelievably, there are a bunch (@20) of my High School classmates and they are having our 65th HS Graduation Reunion. The amazing part is one of them is a helluva performer. He's gonna perform at the Reunion. Ever kewl.

Unlike Elvis or others, he remains seated... because he plays four drums with his feet while playing the guitar.

Just listen to him do the "Folsom Prison" song partial. The guy is bloody fantastic. Sound up.

Sweating my balls off working outside. Another hot day. Supposed to get copious amounts of rain on Friday. Wish it was here now. Just finished edging the lawn....mow tomorrow and now off to the veggie garden. Have at least a dozen maters that need picking. Need to do it now as there was a rat out munching on one of them early today. I have poison out but apparently they like the maters as much as I do.

Also I bet there is 40 lbs of squash that needs picking......W T F am I gonna do with that. I have eaten squash every day for a month and it just keeps piling up!!
neuropathy pain is no joke

i decided not to go to the doc

I have sciatic nerve pain down the back of my leg. I have that brace thingy that is advertised on TV and amazingly it helps a lot.

Off on a squash hunt.

A THC pain creme helps my feet ,lower back injury goes into legs and feet;

I need to try that

any have told me the same thing

last guy recommended some stuff but it was expensive , like a hundred bucks for a small tube of salve…4-6 oz maybe?

what do you use?

edit: if I wasn’t so lazy , I can easily make my own
