Picked up one of the cheap soil probes(light-moisture-ph) yes I know the pens and costly ones are probably better, but cant afford one of those right now.

Anyways I checked my 5 girls this morning with the cheapo and got an acid reading on all of them.
Yes I had trouble with the fan leaves yellowing so I increased the nutes using Jacks Classic 10-30-20. they are 40 days in flower.

So not knowing if the cheapo meter was reading correct, I moved to my wifes houseplants and the ph is correct on them.

Should I trust the meter and flush or ??? ph read 4
I had added powered lime about 5 days ago. dissolved and watered in.

What do the plants look like? IMO if you ph is actually 4 in sol your plants would be dead. I would'nt trust at soil probe at all.

heres some pics, after watering i tested again with the cheap probe and im getting 6-7 ph now.

plants started yellowing a few wks ago so i increased the jacks classic from 1 tsp to 1 tbl. per gal water. im thinkin i got nute burn now ???

u can see them a few wk ago under " my white widows" in the grow journal.

The 1st 2 pics are Nirvana WW, its different than the other 2 Nirvanas, lots more leafy and greasy like.main cola soft
The 4th and 5th pic have hard colas
The last 3 pics and pic 3 is the Dinafem WW which have the hardest buds and are more all over the plant plus good hard main cola
Some of the yellow glare is from the hps in the pics

I wouldn't trust those readings. Those "meters" are simply not accurate enough to base any kind of diagnosis off from. I feel that those soil probes are worse than nothing because you actually think that you are testing your soil pH, but they are so notoriously inaccurate as to be useless.

IMO, the fertilizer you are using is not a good flowering nute--too much N.

What kind of soil mixture did you use?

I agree with THG. Those cheap probes are not reliable or accurate.

To use them the soil must be moist but not wet. You must wipe clean and store dry after each use
