aloha everyone. i live on the bigisland of hawaii. i have atleast 6 yrs of growing under my belt, but sadly i havent done any since overgrow was canned. im looking for some help as i do not know whats new on the market for outdoor grows. here is my situation, please bare with me. i will be growing on the other side of the island. ( about 100 miles away ) i found a nice little area that rains enough so that i dont need to worry to much about my plants getting the water they need. i wanna avoid using any liquid nutrients, as i have had bad expeiences with them in the past. ( except for pure blend pro ). I WANNA USE STRICTLY GRAIN/POWDER FORM FERTS. ( NOT SURE IF I SAID THAT RIGHT ). i wanna go in a way that will not need as much attention, or take up to much time as i wont have all day to do things. the area im growing in is an old sugar cane fielld that is not in use. i have preped the area already, killing most of the bugs around with soapy watter, dug up the ground like a farmer does, made sure ph is good, mixed red cinder, 4 bags of fox farm light warrior, 2 bags of fox farm ocean forest and added some perlite. ( these are all mixed into the existing soil ) MY QUESTION IS: WHAT ELSE AM I MISSING IN THIS GROW? i wanna try and spend as little time as possible so that i wont get caught. in other words, i want to make sure that my plants will be well fed and grow vigoursly without having to tend to them as much. im looking at visiting them atleast once every other week. so what else should i add to the soil? any specific brands? PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, THAT THE PLANTS WILL NOT BE PLANTED IN ANY KIND OF CONTAINER. THEY ARE BEING PLANTED STRAIGHT IN THE GROUND. one last question. any suggestions on a potent strain that likes hawaii weather? i grew skunk, ww, pure power plant, orange passion and ice. im looking for big yeilds with a very strong high/ stone. thx for the help. aloha

Looks like you have a good thing in the works... To minimize visits for watering, you can by water polymers or crystals as most of us know them as. These amazing little things can hold many time their weight in water and slowly releases the water in between waterings. With your location and climate, you are going to want a strain that is resistant to mold. Flowering time should not be an issue because you don't need to worry about frosts... GL man.

You could add a lil lime to the soil to prevent future ph problems but you have it down pretty much.

ok kool. is there anything else that i should think about adding to the soil that can benefit my plants in the long run? how long do you think this mixture will last before i need to add fertz?.... what would be a good fert recipe or an all around good brand fert.?

Prefertilize the dirt with stuff like worm castings, compost, guano and manures and you shouldn't need any ferts outside:). Good luck!

how much more do i ad to what i already have? when i grew before, i was using pure blend pro liquid nutes. this will be a first for me using non-liquid ferts. i have the ff ocean and ff light warrior mixed with red cinder and soil from an old sugarcane field. i wanna be sure that i dont add to much.

aloha guys...i have another question.... what about adding micro nutrients, fulvic acid, humic acid. im pretty much trying to put together a good soil that will last for a long time without over feeding or burning them. what do you guys recomend?. as far as bat guano goes? how much do i add to the soil. ( keep in mind that the plants will be grown like a garden, not in its own whole. )

Worm castings can't be beat for these. Plus it won't burn your plants, you can add as much as you want.
