True Hemp goddess, it is a bit of a pain to work with to get it totally flat, and it also added some heat retention in my closet as well. But it looks way cool.....lol

How about vegging entirely with fluoros? This is a Satori vegged under a T5 fluoro:

what kind of fluoro's do you speak of? and how much of a hassle will that be if im flowering in that same room>

The T5 a high output fluoro tube. The number behind the T designates the diameter of the tube in eighth of an inch--a T5 bulb is 5/8" diameter, a T8 is 8/8 or 1". The T5 is a high output tube. I use a 4" 4 tube fixture. Each 54W bulb puts out 5000 lumens. I use this is a 2 x 4 x 4' space that I veg in.

You can certainly use a fluoros to veg with and then change out your light to your HPS when you get ready to flower. I just have not found enough difference (if any) to justify the higher wattage and heat of my 400W MH. It is just a fluorescent light fixture and hangs from chains.

I am a big fan of vegging with fluoros. I have a 400W MH that I used to veg with, but don't anymore. I find that I get just as lush growth with the fluoro, which takes about 1/2 as much electricity and stays cooler.

I hear ya, I used to start all my outdoor clones inside under flouros until the temps stayed steady. I was looking into an MH for veg but it just wasn't convinient for me. I wanted a small veg box so I could get a perptual harvest going, and an MH won't allow that with the heat issues. With flouros and CFL's you can get those babies as close as you want. Flouros takes up maybe 2 inches of your allowed height, with a 10' tall pot you could still get away with a 2 foot veg box. The MH takes up more space, height wise, and the extra distance between the plants and the light make it a 2 foot clearance alone pretty much. And the low hydro with Flouro is a nice kicker. If you had ample space and didn't care about your overall consumption of power, then MH is golden. Both have their advantages, it just depends on your situation.

the thing is though i have heard alot of people dog it but my grow was doing much better with it than in the regular white painted closet. it gets a little hotter but i have recently added a exhaust sytem with an 8 inch inlkine fan 500, added a carbon scrubber to it too and the temps equal out now so that stuff isnt that bad. im thinking about keeping it until i feel like throwing more money at this thing again.
