Planted a seed a while back for fun, didn't expect the plant to live for very long. Long story short, it's 2 feet tall. Any clue what sex it is or anything else about it?

KEEP M GREEN

Looks like a nice lady ya got there pal...Hope to see an update on this girl

awesome, i'll definitely post updates. we are planning on making some clones sometime soon, anybody have any suggestions on what rooting gel to get? And how long can we leave the plant in vegetative growth before inducing flowering?

i personaly use rootone...according to hick, there really is no difference in the performance of the different brands...all about the same really...

that looks just like my girl when she was in veg like exaclty the same, idk hpw you can tell theyre female only one picture to me looks like it has hairs the others look like new growth to me....

I see obvious pistils in the "blowup" image.. :D

We found two spider mites that had made little nests on the plant today. We have "Garener's Choice: Rose & Flower 3-IN-1" (Insecticide/Fungicide/Miticide). Would that be okay to spray on the plant? And what do we need to do to get the buds to grow nice and fat when we are ready to flower?

Inity---> i used the exact same thing the 3 in one insecticide fungicide an miticide on mine couple times and its been bout month now and the bugs really aint been back no clue if its somethin to do wit the weather or the spray or not. i also went and got like 20$ worth mothballs twice and scattered them round the area where i grew too that helps wit the rabbits an smaller deviants i herd and i really aint had much a prob wit rodents eatin my girls wether it be the moth balls or just watever. but i do know i see the buggin cottontails freakin everywhere round here. i'm gonna also try the homemade concoction the pepper an garlic spray stuff or maybe just get few cans of pepper spray and just spray round the base area of my girls like a barrier maybe. lol

oh wait also it it the 3 in one kind for fruits an vegetables i know u said rose n flower. i'd make sure its fruit an vegetable safe first. i know the brand i got was it was brand "expert" i beleive. anythin safe enopugh to eat would be safe enough to smoke wouldnt u in this case?

I like the safers soap, it seems to ward off all beetles, white flies and and those damn green/purple grasshoppers, plus spiders and what not. this is just me though. you could also try and make a spray, i made one with garlic, fennel and chile pepper seeds once, and the plants did fine, and the bugs went away, but this was just a foliar spray and had to do it all the time, especially after rain.

Where do you get this safers soap??? is the pepper spray/ and soaps ok at the beggining of flowering??? i'm just now starting to see sex, and i'm wanting to get rid of everything before they start budding...i was seeing a lot of spiders but didn't know what to do except flick 'em off...But i've been seeing a lotta little grasshoppers lately...And im pretty positive i gotta small mite prollem...But i gotta fix it...Hate to hear about the cottontails, i've had 2 run ins this year so far, where i caught 'em in the act...Actually managed to re-root both though...The wabbits can clone :D ...just messin

I see hairs of pistils, spider mites, arrggh, well mothballs and tomato spray bug killer will help... u gotta keep bugs out of them. water is safe to use, do not use soap at all, if u need more guidance email me nor ask us all we here for you and support you to do right things..

... A mixture of soap and water has been/IS recommended by several gardening sites, horticulturists, and "gurus" of pot.
There is absolutely nothing improper or harmfull to your plants useing it as a cheap, semi-effective, form of treatment for mites, or other pests. It Is, in fact, I believe, beneficial to use a li'l bit of soap. It reduces the surface tension of water, and allows it to be absorbed more easily.

thtoker.. "SAFERS" is the brand that I see at wally world all the time...;)

Here are some updated pictures from pre-flowering as well as pictures from it's second week of flowering. We had a strange yellow leaf discoloration on the bottom few rows of shade leaves. We ended up removing them because they looked so diseased.

The stalk of the plant and all of the stems turned a purple color, as you can see in the more recent photos. Any idea what that's about?

Any way of determining what type of plant we have growing?
