lol,yea i was askin him about it and i told him pics would help so he did us all a favor. =)

The same as pinching.... just pinch or cut 75% of the growshoot... but not all of it...

I still don't understand. I guess I'm not understanding why it's done. What are the benefits? If done like this, you say you get two new tops(like topping). Why doesn't it give you 4 new tops. So, another question is, what happens to the other two branches, if they don't bud. If they form leaves, they wouldn't be aternated anymore.:hairpull: Am I understanding this right. If so, what's the point in doin' it? If not, please help me understand. I'm very interested!

Your are saposed to get 4 even tops if done right... Check out my Strawberry Cough Grow. I have 4 main cola buds from FIM'ing... Its like topping it 2wice without the restrictions of having to wait to top it again and having an uneven canopy...

Does that make them so top heavy that it becomes a problem later? If not you could do it as many times as you want, right? If so, it sounds like a better method than topping!:D I'm goin' to try that my next grow or my friends grow that's goin' on now!;)
