I have a question:

I have a plant outside, and I was looking for the best protection to keep insect from eating my leafs.

Now I use fertilzer, but only for the ground of the plant.

I have not sprayed plant with anything yet, and bug aren't eating away at it, But wanted to get on it before she starts getting bigger.

Now I heard soap water will work?

What do you think will do the job?

dependin wat you have for shopping stores in you area if ya limited an have a wal mart they carry a product called fungicide. thats totally organic and fruit an vegie safe. its a fungicide miticide and insecticide all in one . i used it last year an worked outstanding.

I"ve been growing outdoors for 10+ years now and I've never had bug problems outside (Knock on wood) maybe luck I don't no, but I've had bugs in my indoor a couple times in the past. I don't spray anything on my plants unless I see a nutrient deficiency, but if you do foliar spray its best to do it in the evening hours or morning hours as the water will act like a magnifying glass with the sun and cook your plants!

I agree with Phat, if it aint broke or dont have bugs......leave it. I grow outside and unless my girls are attacked, by some nasty bug, I let them enjoy the sun in their naked glory.
Besides, even if you sprayed something on it now, the new leaf growth wouldnt be covered. Unless you actually see damage from bugs, I personally wouldnt put anything on it. Just keep it healthy by feeding it and watering it, and loving it.
Good luck to you.

Most of the time outdoors "Mother Nature" take care of bug problems unless you see a problem, just let them grow water and add nuts as needed by the plant ands you will have a great harvest. 1 thing I will recomend is if there are tent catipillers around your area burn the tents before the catipillars come out.

These were just waking up and crawling all over the "tent" when I took this pic. Kill them or the Tent on Sight!

Both that tent can put out little catipillers for 2+ days.
