My questions?

Hello, my plan is to grow for personal and a bit commercial.

I am growing in soil
Indoors
Will be using a 600w cfl light
In an area of 1.3m x 1.3m
I want to grow about 10 plants
I will be hand watering or possibly a drip system

Any way here are my questions: -

1. After how long should i change from a 18 hour light cycle to a 12 hour cycle and how tall should the plants be?

2. What is a TL light and what is it used for?

3. Do i need a separate light to put new clones under or straight under my 600w?

4. What light shall i use for the mother plant?

5. What distance should i keep the 600w light away from the plants?

6. Do clones need to be put into a 18 hour cycle or straight into a 12 hour one?

7. Do plants still grow on a 12 hour cycle?

Hopefully you will be able to answer my questions, when i use the search i cant find the exact answer.

By the questions you are asking, I would recomend doing some more basic research on growing MJ before you jump in feet first with minimal knowledg ! I only tell you this because it is not cheap to get started and there is alot of other factors invoved when it comes to setting up a good inviornment then you could imagine. I would suggest checking out a few grow journals arround here to get a lil feal for things, and im sure it will also answer alot of your questions
as well. I will be glad to help you as much as I can tho !

Your right, are you gonna start from clones or seeds ?

depending on how your gonna grow, after the clones have rooted you will transplant and transition into the veg stage. You can veg as long as you like 18/6 usually about 15-20 days then switch to flower 12/12 ! You will have no problems veging and flowering under your 600 imo. You wanna keep the light as close as posible to your babies, this will keep them from stretching and getting a week spindaly stalk. Also it will give them good ight penatration as well ! Your mother will stay 18/6 always, and a 400 would probably be sufficient !

If they are sexually mature clones you can go 12 12 right away but you will want to veg them a bit in order to get a decent yield.

2. What is a TL light and what is it used for?
Never heard of it...

3. Do i need a separate light to put new clones under or straight under my 600w?
A lot of people will veg clones under Floros..but if they are well rooted I think under hid lighting wld work...

4. What light shall i use for the mother plant?
Not sure what you mean...Hid lighting wld keep your mother healthy..

5. What distance should i keep the 600w light away from the plants?
Get a cooled hood and you can get it down right on top of your plants...

6. Do clones need to be put into a 18 hour cycle or straight into a 12 hour one?
If they are sexually mature you cld go with either but you wld want to put some growth on clones before you flip em...

7. Do plants still grow on a 12 hour cycle?
Yeah they will double and sometimes triple...

Sorry midman, I didnt mean to be harsh if I came off that way... but when you said you wanted to grow for personal use and (commercial) basically profit, I just wanted to make sure you kinda have an idea what your up against thats all ! I would recomend taking your time, grow a few crops, learn the plants and learn your set up ! Practice makes perfect my friend !
