Hi guys :)

I had a Buddy post me a present, when it arrived I had crushed seeds.

The package came from the USA to the UK.

My question is ... Does the US postal system put its post through a set of metal rollers of some kind?

Luckily for me not all the seeds were crushed :)

Im fully aware of this rule.

10. Trading seeds among members is not aloud.
(Its spelt allowed by the way)

It was not a member of this site, it was from someone I know.

:peace:

Damn those are crushed :holysheep:

I don't think the US puts them through rollers, they would have alot of problems with other stuff sent overseas

That looks deliberate to me :hubba: I know customs does crap like this

At least some of them survived - 6 Blue Moonshines!

Don't you have seed retailers around you? or those only in certain areas?

Yes rollers are used, but I don't think that they cause enough pressure to obliterate like they have here. & yybg is on the right track. This will happen intentionally. Big loss but not a total one so smile... You have good friends hehehe

My bad I thought they used a regular envelope. Most Anything that is crushable when sent in a regular envelope will be crushed.

I don't really think it is intentional. Way to many envelopes to sort by hand and and crush stuff.

A friend had his seeds checked by customs once, all they did is confiscate them and send him a letter saying they had taken them, so unless it was some random **** in customs getting his kicks I'd imagine this was an accident. Were they sent in a bubble envelope?

BTW, pcduck, you could add "Look, when I was a kid, I inhaled frequently. That was the point." to your presidential quotes there, would fit nicely:D

I had seeds sent from cali by a friend and when I got them they were crushed but for 3 out of 15. I think it is some kind of roller either that or sheer incompetence. I've worked in a fed-x,UPS type delivery place and you would be surprised how little respect they have for your items.

How strange that some would be crushed to pieces and others would be okay?

Consider yourself very lucky I guess!! ;)

A toad told me a story once about not being able to even send Valium and other pharms via usps because the rollers are strong enough to crush them. have to poke em in cardboard or tape them fancy. the toad as very convincing...

Ha! Now that's funny Hippy! I wonder...... Is it a loophole you have found there??? Like..... Trading is not to be spoken of 'aloud'??? Good eye bro.

We recently banned a senior member for tradeing/gifting seeds through MP. We are NOT beyond doing it again...
I could go on long rant here, about the naivety/foolishness of giving out their personal information, but it would probably fall on deaf ears.

With all respect Hick.

Nothing was gifted or traded through MP as I mentioned above.

This post is dual purpose of a simple question I had and serves as a warning to ensure people request adequate packaging when ordering from seed companies.

I understand your comment fully :)

.."Mutual" respect..;) hie..
It wasn't directed at you, but posted for the benefit of any that might be thinking it is permissible OR wise.

Ahhh, Hick c'mon now, dropping the whole " " at the end of that statement t'was obvious I was only poking a little fun of y'alls spelling error. Seems though, upon review, perhaps it wasn't done in the best of taste.. I'm sorry, and no worries. In fact, it is soothing to know that the powers that be are paying attention.

Hippy, please accept my apologies as well. Seems I have caused a bit of a 'highjacking' here...
