I give a lot of free samples out of the stuff I grow. I regularly give out sample packs of a little bit of every strain I have on hand.
I sent a sample pack home with a buddy of mine a few days ago.
He just messaged a little bit ago.
Said his wife believes this may be the best weed she has ever had in her life.
She is particularly fond of the Skunk Monkee.
(Banana Mango x Chocolate Skunk), which is one of my accidental bag seed crosses.
I have popped 4 or 6 of those seeds, and have found a couple different phenos so far.
It smells like wasp spray. Potent medicine.

I switched another barrel out the other day, so I am now on my 3rd barrel of recycled peat/perlite.
At this point, I am declaring it a pretty solid system.
Nice to know I have been soaking mine every other week until my feet are soaked.
I just dug back through my journal, a barrel of dirt lasts me around 4 months.
So a barrel gets flushed with rainwater for 8 months before it is used.

I bought some amendments I want to try on the used stuff. You only need a small amount. Mine will be sitting about 6 months. I do already have a peat and a pearlite on hand new for spring. I bought it before you told me about recycling. I may want to go in ground. My sister wants me to get a license so I can grow 300 plants. F’in pot head. I am killing myself with 48 at a time. I will have a lot more time though, unfortunately.
I have been considering layering some lime into the barrels as I fill them.
I usually have 15 to 20 plants to take care of, that’s plenty.
I could handle 50, but 300 would be a lot of work.

I liked that reuse idea so much I had to follow your lead. I've got no way to flush anything so as a pot dries out from the last harvest I recover as much as possible in my tub.
Everything I have growing is in reused medium now. I'm not seeing any issues really so I'm just gonna see what happens.

The last couple days have been pretty hectic.
My 95 year old grandmother lives next door to me.
My 70 year old retired mother usually goes to grandmas every day to check in on her and deliver groceries and cleans and what not.
We got 8 inches of ice and snow, mom can’t make it up on the hill where we live, so I have to stop at grandmas every evening to check in on her and take care of her needs.
It wouldn’t be all that big of a deal, except I started the new job yesterday.
Don’t get off until 4:00 pm now, so don’t get home until 5ish, plus I still have to do my chores too.
I will be glad when this $hit melts off.

Yeah, we got slammed pretty good.
We only get hit like this once every 10 or 15 years.
It wouldn’t be that big of a deal right now if I didn’t live on top of a hill on a back road.
My cousin and I have cleaned the road off pretty good with our tractors.
The county still hasn’t touched it.
Still can’t get my car in and out, so stuck driving my fuel guzzling truck back and forth to work.
Hopefully, it will be melted off after this coming weekend.

Yeah, for sure a bad storm huh? My wife's Aunt passed and she cannot even get up to be with family everything so hectic. just got another 5". On one of them last to get plowed roads huh? I've been considering that in homes I look at... being out in the country has it's peace and quiet but.... lol. Hope things improve for you soon as things melt off bro... don't see us moving anytime soon...

Don't sweat the snow, Carty. Just getcha a 4X4 with a plow and deal with it. No biggie when you've got the right equipment, and it's kinda fun.
Chopped this Passion Fruit today.
This Sour GoJuice went into 12/12 today.
This is probably my best looking Ice Princess I have at the moment.
She will be going into 12/12 two weeks from today.

Up potted another T-Funk today and sprawled it out.
I bent this Freak over on the 25th, and tied its head to its feet.
6 days later.
Veg is starting to look like a jungle again.
The Gabagoo in the veg tent may be small, but it has some nice chunky buds on it.

I had turned my light down in an attempt to get rid of my hermie issue, but bud production has suffered, so I cranked the light back up to 75%.
Over the next few months, I am going to switch things up a little.
As I move what photos I have left in veg to 12/12, I will be replacing them with autos.
Once the last photo has been moved to 12/12, I will start popping photo seeds again, but I am going to put them in 12/12 as soon as they sprout, and do 12/12 from seed.
I believe I will be able to move more strains through the flower tent this way, plus greatly reduce the chance of hermies.
IMO photos that get less than 8 weeks of veg have a greater chance of herming. Thats when I have seen my nanners, when I vegged less than 8 weeks
My theory right now, is that my plants are vegging under 180 watts of light, the flower tent has a 450 watt light in it.
The only thing I can figure is that the instant change in wattage is kind of shocking their system.
I am hoping that keeping them under the same wattage from the get go will solve the problem.
I will say, I didn’t have near the issue with hermies when I had an HPS in the flower tent instead of the LED.
I have also considered moving the 450 watt LED to the veg tent, and putting the 600 watt HPS back in the flower tent.
I also feel like that would solve the issue.
