You bring them in and overwinter them. You trim them and give minimal light and water they can even be stored in a garage. Should be kept above 40 degrees f. They will stay alive. In spring bring them back outside. Water and fertilize as usual. You start with a full sized plant in spring.
Yep,that's exactly what I do.

You are going to have to elaborate a little.
I will have had Onions in the ground for 3 years coming up. I ate several this summer and they are a shade on the hot side. They get covered in snow and the cold takes the part that is sticking out of the ground eventually but in the spring they come right back. Supposed to be Vidalia's but they are no where near sweet. never were. maybe this year.

Nope its your soil. The soil is what determines if an onion is sweet or has a bite.

Yessir. Pepper plants are Perennials brother.
I had Cheyenne and Serrano over 4 yrs old but they got damaged because my ******* left them out and forgot the temperature was dropping below freezing.😡

We have two kinds of Chillis on our property. They grow under Trees. The seeds are dropped in Bird Poop. My Fave is a small one. about the size of a pea. It tasted like a Jalapeno Flavor Times 10. The heat is the same as a good Jalapeno. The peppers that grow by the two Spirit Houses are way too hot for me. One of our friends makes a wet sauce with them thats Crazy Good. But Man the heat is over the top and its worse comming out a day later.

The Lucky Lemon, right before chop.
She still supported herself pretty well even after I removed all her restraints.

Finished trimming her today, and ran her through the salad spinner.
I already collected over 100 seeds out of the salad spinner, and there are at least that many more in there.
I will pick some more out tomorrow.
Hard telling how many I am gonna end up with once it’s all smoked.

One thing I will say about the genetics the members sent me, versus the genetics I have bought in the past, they seem much more vigorous and robust, actually supporting themselves with little help from staking. Although, I have had to duct tape one branch of the Peanut Butter Haze.

I am extremely happy with my plants right now. With the exception of the Peanut Butter Haze, who looks a little ratty due to the lack of cal mag, everything else is looking wonderful on the Jacks Classic. I am confident, that the addition of the Jacks Bloom Booster, from this point forward, will keep my plants looking perfectly pristine.

The two tubs of Jacks in the foreground, have replaced all of the bottles in the background. I have not Ph’d anything in several weeks.
Thank you @dogster for the guidance.
I appreciate the guidance on Jack’s. I haven’t fed any cannabis with it yet but my houseplants seem to love it. Another week or so and I will start feeding my seedlings.

It’s official, this big pretty Passion Fruit is a male.
I am going to have to revisit it again in a couple months.

On a positive note, the small bud pheno of ECSD X Ogers is much better smoke than the Sour D leaning pheno.

These #22’s are seeds that I found in the Banana Mango that I grew. There is a possibility that the pollen came from that Chocolate Skunk that hermed on me.
They don’t really want to produce any side branching until topped.
The first one pictured was topped a few weeks ago.

The next two, more recently.

And the last one, just a few minutes ago.

Let’s revisit the 22’s.
As you can see, they are starting to bush out more, now that I have topped them, and cut off the last of the fan leaves.

Two different phenos of
ECSD X Ogers, or what I call Sour Ogre.
I don’t want anyone thinking less of me for naming stuff that was sent to me by other people, so I want to offer up an explanation for that, I blame it on my wife.
Her palate is the standard by which I grow.
What she likes the best, is what I keep.
If I ask her, what do you like best, the ECSD X Ogers, or the Mimosa X Triple Lemon, she looks at me like I have broccoli growing out of my ears, but if I say, hey baby, what you like better, the Sour Ogre, or the Tremolo, she tracks and gives me an answer without looking at me like I am crazy.

I mention the two different phenos of Sour Ogre because……..
IMG_4472.jpeg

This plant is a cutting from one of the two phenos, but I don’t know which one I took it from.
I know which one I hope I took it from.
IMG_4473.jpeg

And these are the cuttings, that I took from the cuttings, which I hope are the cuttings that I want them to be.
Which leads me to one of my first lessons, on my way to becoming a world famous breeder of cannabis…,,
IMG_4476.jpeg

Use a numbering system that differentiates each individual plant, not just the strain.

IMG_4486.jpeg

Learned another lesson.
The ECSD X Ogers got frostbite on the walk to and from the outdoor greenhouse. I really didn’t think it would happen during the amount of time it took to walk out there and back, but it did.
Plants flash freeze in 4 degrees weather. 😪
I wouldn’t be all that butt hurt, but now I am going to have to wait several more months to find out which cutting I have.
IMG_4495.jpeg

In its place went what I think is
Banana Mango X Chocolate Skunk from bag seed. Might as well see what it does.

@oldfogey8 , here is some
Herijuana X Blueberry **** for you.
This one went into 12/12 on 11/26/23.
I would say it has about 2 more weeks.
