Well, its day four since I made the decision to start growing, and since then, ive aquired some bag seed, germinated all of the seeds i had, and planted the four most promising of the brew! the sprouts have yet to break the surface, so this pic is just showing my basic setup.
***EDIT***
Ok, so i just spent about 1g on supplies, here is the list.
1000w mh/hps both bulbs, ballast, super duper textured hood
digi ph tester
4 more bags of ff ocean forest/ 1 bag of ff seed formula
digi thermo/humid
digi timer 15 amp
Thingamajig to attatch the light to the center of the room
Should be an easier grow with the right equipment! still need a few things tho!

8 cfl, 27 watt
ff ocean forest
nutes, (too lazy to go look in the garage for the name, but they weren't cheap!)
timer
thermometer (with humidity)
humidifier

so far, its been a day for the little guys, so im expecting signs of growth over the next 2-3 days, I will keep you posted as this develops, as well as provide some decent pics, i lost my macro, and its not really in my budget right now, ive got many upgrades to lighting, ventilation ect. to worry about, but expect some nice pics!

you cant tell fromt the fans position, but im bouncing the air of the wall, so the breeze against the little newbs will be minor, i will put more air on them little by little.

Hey Looks like we got us a Grow going on...Heres some "GREEN MOJO" to help the Babies along...nice closet..do you plan on flowering in ther too? looks like we need to build some rooms..lol..I can help..when Im not stoned..anyway..I will fallow along..KEEP M GREEN my friend

I would recommend pullin that there carpet out of the grow area.
Carpets n grew areas don't really mix to well.
Are you gona flower in there?
Might want to check for light leaks before you flip :aok:

Hello JB :)

4 seeds and 3 pots?

2 seeds in 1 pot?

Yeah, 4 in 3 pots, the one with two is gonna get a makeover once i see which of the two sprouts are coming up healthy, by next week i will have killed off one of the two leaving me with three.

There was a DIY for a reflector on this site that looked fairly simple. That carpet does look very nice. Maybe you should put a tarp underneath it or some heavy vinyl just in case.

whats wrong with carpet? im going to be putting down plastic on the floor, and yeah, i plan on flowering in there as well, dont worry, when i shut the bedroom door, there is absolutely no way light can penetrate the room.

going to the local plant store for upgraded lighting, testing equip (ph) timers and ph adjusters, fans, ducts and so on, these pics will show not only the growth of my plants but my setup as well.

hey my friend...what I meen bt building some rooms...most have a Veg room...a flower room..and a room for seedlings and clones....they take the closet and divide it into two or three rooms...IMO I would seperate the the plants that have have two seeds in them befor they get much roots..you wait to long and Im affraid you will lose both..leaving you only 2..what if you get both Males? I hope not...when your at the store buy a "light meter" I bet you will find that closing your door to the room the closets in still has a substantial amount of light coming in around the door...under door...all it takes is a pin prick of light to confuse a plant in flower..and removeing the carpet because water will get on it and cause mold....putting plastic down wiil trap woister between the capet and subfloor...you will have problems my friend later with it..just my thoughts..

After the two in the same pot are about a week old, i will be removing the lesser of the two, so thats not gonna be an issue, ive read about the dangers of having two plants in one pot, i just wanted three, but four of the seeds looked pretty good after i germed them, so i will take the weakest one out. As for the carpet, i was gonna put down a thick waterproof material, but if you think i may have a problem then i may have to take the carpet out of the closet, OR resort to extracting runoff water to prevent any from contaminating the carpet. As for the lighting, my hall way is light proof, and the room is 100% free of light penetration, this i can promise, but i will go ahead and get a light meter just to be safe, thanks for your help! i really appreciate it you have no idea friend!

Still think you should pull the carpet, considering all the work you plan to do.

It is just a little job, the carpet can be rolled up, saved and reused at a later date.

Have you considered your ventilation, intake, extraction and odour control.

I don't think a sliding mirrored doors or a bedroom door would be considered as light proof.

Well, removing the carpet from the closet is not a problem, but i may however move them into the center of the room and put the light right in the center above them, with a huge piece of plastice covering everything on the carpet. i have considered ventilation and am purchasing all the required material this weekend, the reason i say the room is light proof is because my whole upstairs is very dark, with no light, and the room is around a bend in my hall way, with the door shut, no light comes in the room, i cant see my own hand in front of my face! but nonetheless i will by a light detector to verify. also, if i keep them in the closet i will be leaving the doors open, they are def not light proof! the window in the room is completely covered in foil, no light is getting in there!

Hey man, good luck on your grow.

I'm growing with CFL's too so I'm eager to see your results.

And I trust ya on the light situation. I think only you really know if there're any light leaks or not. ;)

Keep'em green bro!

Thanks bro! Im just gonna get them started with cfls, for a week or so, then im going to a more advanced hid setup, i do need to verify lighting integrity tho, even tho i think its fine, the pros here know more than me, so a light tester is the least i can do to be safe!

Not sure if this looks ok, he just popped up today. anyone? I dont have a macro lens at the moment.
