Single digit temperatures today, weatherman says possibly -18 tonight. Two good things. It's not snowing, and after a doctor appointment this morning, I don't have to be outside in it. I remember not that long ago having to work outside all day in this kind of weather. Oddly, after a day or two, you start to get accustomed to being out in it, as long as you dresss right for it.

Good morning venerable brothers and sisters of the sacred herb!

A gorgeous clear day starting at 31F and predicted to reach 45F.

No A-fib yesterday and the 0-gell caps arrived so I will cut the remaining 30 mg down to 10 mg caps to taper off of DELoxetine the rest of the way.

I fired my pain clinic doctor whose nurse finally responded to my urgent message a week and a half later without any instructions for the withdrawal that I requested, but instead another prescription for a medication with even more side effects.

I would have fired my cardiac specialists as planned, but was only able to get their answering service.

No gym this morning and a empty calendar, so besides participating in the stationary recumbent bike races unopposed, the day is open to tea and crumpets, as well as wanton debauchery.

I actually miss the days when people were just GAY! This guy's thinking they're girls and girls thinking they're guys shi.t is just out of f.ucking hand.

Got two whole degrees here.

It's been over two decades, but I remember those days well. Commercial construction always seems ass-backwards to me. A lot of summers, I'd be stuck in the bowels of some huge building with break time and lunch time the only times in the day that I saw sunlight. Come winter I'd be outside in the elements. I still dream of walking red iron 80' in the air with no tether and a ice spud to clear the way to the next beam. Got paid well, but at a high risk.

I learned a quick trick for staying warm. I got sent mid day from a punch list task in a woman filled office building (think equator temps) to an outdoor canopy across from a lake that had frozen over. I shook so bad that I ripped off the filter of a cigarette to stick between my teeth to keep from breaking them. Come break time, I headed to the nearest stop-and-rob and bought a stick of butter. By the time I got back to the job, I was sweating. Stayed warm the rest of the day despite the weather. I also got smart enough to pack all kinds of extra clothes in the truck, just incase.
