I save the choice cuts and freeze them. Loins, the neck. Neck always gets smoked. Makes the best pulled bbq in the world.
Do you add anything to yours? Or just can the meat alone?

Venison also makes choice jerky!

Morning peeps. This is the mantle I made. Wood came from our land. Local guy sawed it. Maybe fifteen years ago now. We store it in the barn. It’s cold down here in old Dixie. 27. Cold enough for us southern boys. Nice thick frost. We do love our humidity down here. Even in the winter.

Been watching seven deeer out the kitchen window. They are after the free corn I hand out. Most are all yearlings. One decent doe. I don’t feel like cleaning one. Going to butcher a sheep in a few weeks anyway. Only time a poor boy can afford lamb. If he grows it himself.

Having computer problems. I think my favorite has given up the ghost. What a PITA. Tried everything I could think of to no avail. I'm on my standby and have to reenter all kinds of crap. Merry Christmas from HP.

Screen freezes, won't turn off, lots of problems.

When you say won't turn off,,,have you tried a force shutdown? Just hold the power button down until it shuts off.
Takes 3 or 4 seconds sometimes.
If you can get it to restart and the screen to not freeze long enough you could do a system restore back to a date before it started the problem or uninstall and reinstall the video driver.

Yep, that's the only way I can shut it down. I even did the hold the button down for ten seconds routine and then pullet the battery for ten minutes. No help. It seemed worse as far as freezing on windows edge, so I did a rebuild on it. No help. 'Bout ready to try out some of my home made 410 shells on it.

I'll give your advice a try, but right now I'm too pissed at it. Can't get this laptop to connect to my phone, either. Monkeyed with it for an hour and gave up before I launched it into the plaster wall.
