One thing no one ever talks about, when it comes to being an older adult, is how much time we devote to keeping a cardboard box because it is, you know, a really good box.
Not me I cut em up and pitch them. It's jars. I've become my grandmother....not mason jars, just jars. Threw em away!

We use them for drinking glasses along with mason jars.
Also awesome for random storage.........we don't toss intact glass often.

I remember my grandfather had a whole row of jar lids (baby food jars I believe) screwed to the underside of a shelf. The jars were then screwed on to the lids, holding nails, screws, etc. I also remember a string dispenser made from a coconut, fashioned to look like a monkey's head.
