I made my money coating the red iron waaay up in the air...one job had me rent 6 80' boom lifts for months...the bill was astronomical but so was the price tag for the job...I stopped as an applicator back in 1981, found my silver tongue could make me more money than my bad back...best move I ever made was putting down the tools...
I picked up the tools in '75 and put 'em down in '06, and I've got the bad back to prove it.

Had a cub that froze up on the red iron. Finally got him pealed off the vertical beam he had a death grip on and got him down to ground level. I found a 16' scaffold plank and made him walk it. He did it just fine. I told him that the only difference between the plank at ground level and the I beam he froze on was that if he screwed up, he'd have a couple of seconds to figure out what he did wrong on the way down.

Yeah, you'd have never gotten me up there again with that little piece of assurance! 🤣

For starters, to use water, the contamination must be water soluble, and greases and oils are not.

For another, the dielectric constant (polarity) of water is 80.1, while Isopropyl is only around 17.9 and Ethanol 24.5. On the dielectric constant scale, anything above 15 is considered polar, and Isopropyl barely is. Check the column headed Epsilon for dielectric constants.

Isopropyl is widely used to clean circuit boards.

I was a lineman for the county ☝️

Went over to my friend's place and picked up the Old Hen's golf cart. He was gonna load it up and drag it back over, but I remembered busting my fanny loading the thing up the first time, so I opted just to drive it home, a two mile run. Took about as long driving it as it would have to load it up, and without any fall repeats. The wife is a happy camper.

Got through the door and the phone was ringing. It was the vascular center telling me that all my tests were great and within parameters. Win-win day for the hippie. :)

Congrats! Good medical news is always a good thing.

I'm sure you're aware of it, but my safety geek makes me tell you that my firefighter nephew says the largest cause, by far, for house fires in his area is unattended golf carts charging in the garage. *steps off soapbox*

100% spot on
My buddy had a charger catch on fire at his shop.
I know it was a ryobi but still
I hooked a spring timer to a quad of receptacles for the chargers.
Put them on for as long as a charge you need and they shut off
