The summarian s knew about round earth I watched a documentary where they were reading summarian tablets and began to see numbers going out to a gigantic length. After analyzing some whole, it was the amount of time each of the planets took to go around the sun in seconds. This information is particularly useful in calculating leaving the planet, using earths gravity, just like they do now. Roundy round then whing off to wherever.

I have my blood checked about every 6 months. Let's me know how my meds are working.
I especially like to keep on top of my Lipids and TSH levels.
TSH levels let's me know how my Thyroid meds are working. I don't think ppl realize how much their thyroid controls.
I do. Mine went wonky in the 90s. One T level was a touch high. 6 times normal amount of adrenaline, lost 3 lbs a day no matter how much I ate, didn't sleep for a week straight. Thank goodness it was not diseased, just a touch over active. Round of beta blocker ( blocked adrenaline receptors, ) and then thin back off of them, somehow resets the hypothalamus to send correct amount of hormones. It sort of regularly tastes your blood for hormone levels and adjusts....otherwise they would fry it with radiation and put you in centroid for ever

For what it's worth, I always sent a follow up letter after an interview. Something more to set me apart from the other candidates.

Another gorgeous day here starting at 53F and predicted to reach 78F.

Did any of ya'll read about the discovery of Anadoluvius turkae hominid fossils in Anatolia, Turkey, that predate those in Africa, suggesting that hominid evolution was forged over the harsh real estate adjacent to the ice sheets in Europe, not in Africa.

Did not see that, does this changed the evolution of mankind?
There was no evolution silly 😜

EXACTLY! That's the bottom line. In my career, I only filled out two job apps. I was hired on the spot by all of them. Last big outfit was one of the paper pushers that wanted you to fill one out. It asked if I'd consider running work for them. I said no. I was asked by the interviewer why. I told him that I'd ran a lot of work in my days, but I started out in the trades working with my hands, and I wanted to finish up that way. I still helped out when I could, but being a foreman (foreskin) wasn't my desire.
One of the questions on the app asked when I could go to work. I said now. Dude asked me about that, too. I replied, "Tools are in the truck, I'm dressed for it, and I'm already here.
Was on a job a half hour later.
My best trick was not to look for open jobs. I would go where I thought was of interest. Do a little background on the company and what it does, ideas on business etc.

Then I would contact them and tell them that I understand they are not hiring right now, but I would just like an informational interview. Got the job I have right now using that method.

Mossberg?
Shockwave 590 'Night Stick'. I like the wood furniture, personally - even though it's pretty much strictly a utilitarian tool, not a show piece.

With the right munitions in it, 2.75 inch shells spittin' 00B at 25 yards will pattern less than 12".
My house is ~16 yards end to end, and about 8, front to back.

With Aguila Mini Shells and the OpSol adapter, magazine cap increases to 8+1.
3 inchers are 4+1 and 2.75 inchers are 5+1.

I put one (ONE!) 3" slug through it. It's a handful with that load. She takes a little gettin' used to, but ya' can't break it, and it cycles. every. time. :)

I see today that the 'retail' (MAP) price I paid for mine is less than half of what they're retailing for now.
