Unless you need to reload in a fire fightRevolvers don't leave shell casings laying around.
I cast 'em both and shoot the conicals and save the round balls for shotgun shells. I also use plain old Vaseline for greasing the ends of the cylinders, same stuff I use on trailer hitch receivers and lug nuts.View attachment 340240
Nice afternoon finally had some time with the conicals probably not going back to roundballs.
Got the same one in flintlock. I browned the barrel though.
How did you brown it?Got the same one in flintlock. I browned the barrel though.
Happy Birthday!Good morning brothers and sisters!
Another clear day here, starting at 55F and predicted to reach 86F.
Still no news on how Grayfox's sister is doing with her fractured back, though she is out of ER and into a hospital room. Hippa prevents the hospital from sharing her condition and she's isn't calling.
Jake, her pup, has settled in at our house. If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with.................
Happy 80th birthday to me! Today is the first day of my 9th decade. The first 8 were sure a trip!
Dinner out at Tien Hongs with Grayfox and friends!
Same for kong v godzilla..........so much potential absolutly ruined.Just a warning for my horror flick aficionados, skip Creepshow 3. It's an hour and 45 minutes that you'll never get back.
I shoved two ears of neighbor grown corn down my throat, a slice of carnivor pizza, and kicked back to watch the flic with my girls. They were smart enough to walk out on the last half hour. I was in for the ride.
Women are smart.
Pretend you only have 6 bullets.Unless you need to reload in a fire fight
Man, that's Old School!

Weather channel? Here's a bit of weird Floriduh Hurricane information. Back when Scooter had the Monster Farm, all of the giant birdies started digging deep foxholes (cassowary holes?) in the dirt of their cyclone fence pens.
They dug them deep enough for them to hunker down at ground level when in them. The hurricane hit three days later. None got hurt.
But how did they know?
Could feed a lot of folks with Big various cuts of meat with a masterdom.I figure if they ever resurrect the dinosaur line, they'd be better off starting out with the cassowary. I saw a PBS special on these dudes that were tweaking the genetics of chickens. They actually got some to grow teeth in their beaks and tails in others all while still in the egg. A cassowary ain't that far. They've already got the velociraptor feet and attitude, so you wouldn't think a tail would be all that hard. They'll probably bring back the mastodon or wooly mammoth by splicing in found DNA with elephants. I'll be long gone by then, but I can see it in the future.

Over 64,000 2oz meatballs from the average size one.
Happy Birthday @Tattered Old Graywolf !
Yes its beeswax and lard at 8\1 over the load.
The uberti 1849 turned out to be a kit gun in finished guise.
Had to spend hours and remove a ridiculous amount of metal to get it to function however it is surprisingly accurate.
The Pietta 1858 was perfect out the box and shoots extremely tight.
While colts design may be better looking I will take the Remington for shooting any day.
Coming up on hunting season the crazies are coming.
