Good morning everyone. Another beautiful day here with sunny skies and lower humidity. Don’t have a ton on my plate today so I’m gonna try and transplant a couple plants to get them under control a bit. Nice service at the funeral yesterday and got to see some old friends from 40-50 years back so that was nice. Cats and Maryjane are glad that Dixie went home and things are back to normal. Hope y’all have a beautiful day and everyone’s aches and pains are tolerable today. 🥰

BIG doin's at the Sneakydicker Househole! I wuz sittin' outside doin' my usual (Pat.Pending) 50-exhales-per-puff thing, and here comes Beau (the Beta peacock) over to me with that lordly way they have of walking.

He is hand-tame to me alone, and I keep a sealed jar of party peanuts next to my chair.

So I laid down my Volcano bag and got a small handful of peanuts, made the chk-chk sound, and held out my hand.

He was gobbling them up out of my hand when I heard the door to the house open behind me. Beau suddenly stopped eating and stepped about 4 or 5 feet away. I thought it was because Red Witch had startled him -- but then Fancy Pants (Alpha) came around the garage corner.

So I held out my hand to him, and he started gobbling. With my other hand, I tossed a bunch of peanuts to Beau. It was the first time they have been together in seven months. <-- Real shortage of peahens this year. As in zerio.

Anyway, a milestone.

Late Note: All their fancy feathers are gone. They have already started the new ones (about 6" long) that will get to five feet in length. I've got a houseful of them. My son, Puck, takes home a dozen or so for his cats each time he comes up.
