Mostly cloudy today, starting at 57F and predicted to rise to 82F.

Lunch yesterday with old bachelor friend, so we ate on the Harborside promenade and watched the pretty girls strut their stuff.

An empty calendar today, so back to working on the book.

Good morning Hippie and TOG and all the lurkers , come on in and have some coffee

we are headed off to the big city this morning , a little over a 2 hour drive , dentist appointment

be back this evenng

since we are on a spinning ball , if I could just go up in a hot air balloon about 5000 feet , and when we spinner by Denver , we could just lower the balloon and BAM!…..travel on a spinning ball is revolutionizing transportation!

in the meantime , have some very hot coffee

I eat sushi a few times a week

So do I.

Given the choice of steak, chop, ham, chicken, turkey, or sashimi, my choice will always be sashimi with wasabi.

My second wife was Japanese, and the family get together spreads were to die for and spoiled me. Sadly, my two favorite Japanese restaurants closed during Covid, so still on the lookout for a new favorite.

Hee, hee, hee, we would grab lunch at a Japanese restaurant near work and take along new hires. Then we would order ama ebi including the heads and make a big deal about how succulent the eyeballs were, before biting them off and rolling our eyes back in mock ecstasy to get a reaction from the newbies.

We have a bunch of sushi joints. My fav is really outstanding. They have an appetizer, brussel sprouts in a lemon miso sauce. Killer.

I would take new hire attorneys to a bar that hadn't been dusted since the 40s. Decorated like a ship, and that was it's name sake.

Then lunch at a cafeteria in a very low dollar housing high rise.

If they could take that, you're ready. Some guy bought the bar, disassembled it and rebuilt it down in the bottoms. Hipster bar now!
