Granddaddy Purple usually takes 56-63 days so they say but it's been longer than that and i still see no amber trichomes any where and yes i am using a jewelers loupe. The leaves are mostly dead - I guess I will keep waiting. Thoughts?

It's not uncommon for some strains like Granddaddy Purple to take longer than expected to develop amber trichomes, especially if the growing conditions vary. If the trichomes are still clear or milky and you're not seeing amber yet, it's a sign that the plant might need more time to fully mature. Keep an eye on the trichomes daily and maintain your plant’s environment, but don't worry too much if it goes beyond the typical timeframe. Patience is key, and it will be worth the wait!

It sounds like you're doing everything right by monitoring the trichomes with a jeweler's loupe. Granddaddy Purple can indeed take longer than the typical 56-63 days, especially if conditions like light and nutrients aren't optimal. If you see mostly milky trichomes with no amber yet, it’s a sign to keep waiting, but make sure to check for any signs of plant stress. As long as the buds look healthy, patience can pay off for a better yield!
