[grass hopper]

a good friend checks his plants every few days.he is now loaded with BEETLES.they love his 3 plants and are everywhere.says they are black w/ stripped rear end.will send pics asap.i told him to get several jap.beetle traps for now and would get back to him.any help-please-THANKS

i got some wilson's earwig and cutworm destroyer earlier this season to knock back all the dang earwigs in my garden.. i didn't find many earwig carcases.. but i found a lot of little beetle ones.
worth a shot if they sell it near you. never had to battle beetles before

These have been eating the crap out of his tomatoes. Anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it?

I have them now!! We live 40 miles apart. They turn the stalk black, two nests so far, about 8 in. Long. The blackened part of the stalk is half covered w/white foam. They have guards, 8-12 at the nest site. they like the thickest parts of the plant. I fogged them w/ Dr. doom. they left or died for now.I'm sure they will be back.Good chance you will have these sooner or later.
