Those Sort Of Meters Are Only For Water As A General Rule, but Ive Used A Similar Hanna With Good Results In Soil, but It Was Only One Plant But I Got Pectacular Results From It (the Plant).

As An After Thought It Broke On Me,maybe Because The Probes Where Stuck Into The Soil, best E-mail The Hanna Web

Get you some RO water, rain water or distilled water and measure the ph of it. Then water your soil and catch the drain off water. Run this water thru a filter (such as coffee filter) then you can measure that with your meter. Then you can tell if your ph went up or down. This is just an idea, as I have no idea what I'm talking about. Not too much on soil and the testing of it. I'm a hydro guy myself. Maybe someone who knows will correct me... :)

"why buy it without knowing about it first?"

Because I had a chance to get a brand new $150.00 ph meter for $30.00. But hey, thanks for answering my question.

Just saying, I'm sure you could've taken 5 extra minutes and gone up on their website and read about the model before making a purchase. Always good to read and research what you're thinking of buying instead of gunning it and getting something you didn't want and then wishing you had that money back.
