Going to try to bring it indoors

I've grown outdoors pretty successfully for the past 2 seasons. I want to try to grow a few plants indoors this winter. I've done a lot of research on the methods of indoor growing but the supplies I can never find solid research on.

What are the best types of lights? I know if I get a Metal Halide fixture it can support both HPS and Metal Halide, correct? Or is it vice versa? I just need to know what brands are the best bang for thier buck, I plan on growing 15 - 20 plants depending on how many turn out to be female... What would the proper wattage be for this?

Well I would either get a MH light, or a Hps light. I think MH lights are better then Hps lights for vegging, Hps for flowering. I have 2 seperate light fixtures on MH one Hps. Hps has a few things that a MH fixture doesnt, I dont think you could use either in the other fixture. As far as 15-20 plants I would at least get a 1000w, if you can 2000w would be better. It also depends on you sq. footage to. You have to make sure you get the correct lumens per sq. foot. Now if your growing from seed you should take into fact that maybe not all will be females, so you can probably get away with 1 1000w light. Good luck, any more questions just ask away.

Well I am glad to see that you are gonna try a indoor grow.You will have some fun.First off,you cant put a MH into a HPS or a HPS into a MH.Your bulb will pop.Unless you have a conversion set up.The best for Veg is a MH,and the best for flowering is a HPS.IMHO this place you can get you lights really cheap,all set up and ready to grow. http://htgsupply.com/ And for the size of light that you want really dont depend on how many plants you have its the square footage of the grow room.Hope this helps,Keep it GREEN:hubba:

I'm really want to try for 15 - 20 females, to try 4 different strains... In a place a bit smaller than 100 sq ft... Probablly 85 sq ft or so. I have 8'1" ceiling, probably try to grow them about 5 feet high if that matters.

Also where's the best place to get seeds / nutes?... I want legit name brand stuff, I bought seeds offline a few years ago and I totally go scammed (well maybe partially because I didn't know what I was doing). If it's White Widow or Purple Haze or whatever it may be I want the buds to look and smoke like they are supposed to... Because I'll take good care of them.

Also in your guys expierence what are the best strains you've grown? What bud tends to yeild the most and what smokes the best? I heard blueberry can yield like mad due to it's ability to handle high stress so it can be topped a ton of times.
