This will be the first time I actually try to grow to full term. I have played around before , but I really want some decent buds this time. I have 3 small (about 5 inches so far) plants in pots. I want to transplant to ground. I have a huge yard lots of vegatation and its on river. If anyone could send me tips on what to do I would apreciate it.:watchplant:

Oh well. If you plant directly in soil you can get some huge plants.
Excavate a hole about 2 feet across by 18 in. deep and fill it with well-rotted manure mixed with soil, some vermiculite or perlite, and some peat. Add a handful of lime and mix well. Your plants will soon be going like gangbusters.

I will try what you say hoping to get some decent pot from these plants. The seeds came from some really good mids I smoked awile back and I decided to try to really grow my own for once.:bong:

where abouts are you, and what are you growing?
i ask because in my area, i'm not able to go full term outdoor with sativa's.. the grow season has been short the last few years.. so just a heads up, if you do burry them, be sure you will be able to harvest. i use big pots, that way if the weather turns and they still need a few weeks i can bring them inside the house/garage/greenhouse/etc.

Keep them in pots until they are at least 18 inches then put them outside. You'll be able to tell by then what type of strain it is. Thin narrow leaves and branching like a Xmas tree? Sativa genetics, space them out well! Fat leaves not branching? More like indicas, you can space them closer together. Sativas and sativa doms can get way big in the ground. One of the members posted a link to a Youtube video by an Aussie grower, "Kog" I think he calls himself. It's a great video and I recommend watching it to see what can be achieved - his plants are monsters! Like, the harvest off one of them would keep you going all year.
Oh and I nearly forgot, as usual ...
Welcome to MP!

Kog is quite the trip, a true Aussie hillbilly, but the man sure can grow some weed...take care..

ha, i just watched one of his vids on growing outdoors....hes the man
