first time questions

hey all, well i plan on converting a mini fridge into a little personal crop grower. i plan on doing 8-10 plants. will a 150 watt hps be enough? whats the best way to check my ph. if i go with a 150 watt hps how much power will i be using. thank for looking any advice would be great

how big of a mini fridge? for 8-10 plants? remember 5000 lumens per sq ft.

A 150 watt will be decent for the amount of area. You are going to need some ventilation. Do you have that figured into your plan? You will probably only be able to do 3-4 plants in there though. As for power usage, I wouldn't worry. It may raise your bill 10 bucks a month or something like that. Just my thoughts. Keep us posted on what you decide to do. Take care and be safe.
