Hey guys, im new at growing Marijuana, my friend is bringing me five seeds on monday. I live in Oklahoma and those who live here know we get a good amount of rain and heat and what not. Mon-friday we had rain all week. But nothing too heavy. ANyway, I live near a nice little wooded area, I mean it aint the WOODS woods its more like a small wooded area with a creek running through it. I know its good to start growing in early May so I guess im in luck. I was woundering if I didnt use soil bought from a planting store, would the woods soil work?

Its natural soil, everything back there is natural. I dont want to fork out the money to buy soil as I cant really afford it to go out and buy some. Money is very very tight. I usually only have enough to buy the monthly food and pay the bills. Anyway, I was hoping that this will grow, Its only weed for me to use. Maybe give some to my friends too but thats it. Do you think my Marijuana will grow fine? Im going to only plant 1 seed and see how it goes and if it goes well im going to plant the rest. Any tips would be helpful. And I know the place is a sucure location, no one goes there, no cops snoop around there, nothing. Its a nice location. I go there all the time to shoot my guns so I think im pretty safe ;)

I just want to know if I can grow a decent crop in natural soil. And how much do you think i'll yiled? I'm probably going to plant on tuesday or wensday. Like I said the ganja im growing is only going to be for me and some friends if they want some. Im tired of having to find a good supplier to buy my weed from so I want to grow my own. And growing my Marijuana inside is out of the question. Anyway thanks guy! I appreciate it abunch!

IMO the better you work the soil the better.
This is the way I prepare spots in the woods
1)Dig up a min. of 4 sqft per plant(2'x2') break up soil til it looks like a tiller has been run.
2) add a layer of 2" or 3" of compost mix it in throughly
3)add a layer of 3' to 5' of sand mix this in. the more clay in the soil the more sand you use. Sand from the creek will work just fine.
4)add 1" or 2" of perlite and mix in. This is not required but helps keep the soil loose and easier for air to get to the roots.
By doing the mixing at each stage you get the best brake up soil, making to easier for root growth and water and nute use by the plant.

Before you do anything, read everything in the OUTSIDE GROW section, then read everything else, too. Then go to youtube and watch all the Grow Marijuana videos.
No sense planting one seed...one could be a dud, or turn out male. Germinate them ALL, because of five, one will be a dud and the rest may all be males, or ONE female, or at best, two. A successful outside grow needs to be started right about now.
The natural soil is probably excellent--it has many years of naturally composted organic material already in it. But START your plants in pots, then transplant them when they're eight-ten inches tall so they're hardy enough. If you plant the seed directly into the ground the rain will beat it down or something will eat it--, so four to six weeks in a POT outside, like on your porch, first. Get a pH meter to make sure the soil is OK. you MAY need to add something if the soil is too high or low in pH.

There's no possible way to guess the yield--you dont know what strain the seeds are. But an outside plant can get 10, 12 feet and produce half apound to a full pound.
I suggest you see a video called, "A Grower's Lot" at youtube. The guy knows his s--t about outside growing.

Good advice and I think ozzy meant to add 3 inches of sand, not feet?
