first time grower

hi, everybody, just want to give some backround info first. im 77yrs old and my son has glaucoma and spends a small fortune at the medical dispensary , so i decided to learn how to grow. i planted 10 seeds on 08/01/24, lime purple mist and sour ape, i have a 8x8 tent (2 430 watt led lights) and all the goodies, par light meter, ph meter, ec meter, osmosis water, co2, ive researched just about every web page and article about growing and was doing great till the last transplant into 5 gallon material buckets 8 days ago. all my readings are in the range their supposed to be, soil ph 6.5, water ph 6.0, temp average 72-75, humidity 70-78 %, light 350 to 400 ppfd, ec in plants .28, ec in runoff water 1.75, 16 hrs on and 8 hrs off light schedule, 5 days ago the lower leafs on several of my plants turned yellow. as you can see in the pictures. does anybody have any suggestions? thanks george

Welcome to the Passion. Looks like ya got things under control. Holy cow, 8x8 tent and all the bells n whistles. You must have done a lot of reading and research. This is prob the most organized new guy grow I've seen in a while. You must have some experience in that 77yrs.

Looking forward to seeing more as you progress.

How often are you giving your plants the nutrients?

2 ozs of mixed solution every 4 days. the ec of the mixture is .80, ec levels in plants runs between .18 (lowest) to .28 (highest), runoff water tests around 1.85 and 2.50

actually no experience growing anything LOL, but i used to work at a hospital as dept head running maintenance dept and had to be careful everything was done right the first time, so i researched everything for 2 months before i bought anything, i didnt want to make any mistakes because seeds cost a small fortune

Well, it's refreshing to see a new grower take the time to research before cracking a seed. I'm over 60 and just got back into growing myself late last year. After over a decade of not growing I was pretty overwhelmed with all the options out there. I must say your entry into growing far exceeds my mistake ridden first grow back..lol.

Your learning the basics and making it happen. Can't ask for any more from a new grower. Were all here to help if ya need it. Pretty damn good support group of folks on the Passion.

bought mine from pacific seeds, i went by what i read about them. next time ill probably buy from somebody different, as for now just looking to make it to harvest.

Have you checked the PH on your runoff?

I'm not a dirt grower but I can see why the yellow leaves would be a concern to you.

6.5 to 6.8 in soil allows are the nutrients to get used. Also if your using tap water make sure it sets about 24hrs before you use it to get rid of the chlorine.
