Well, i have a plant and it was so healthy yesterday, I was gone yesterday and i just got back a few minutes ago, when i got home i checked on my plant to my shock it looked horable, all droopy (would have pic up but my ******* sprint phone has "Network issues" well i flushed the soil and replaced it with freash dry soil (30% potting soil, 40% peat moss, and 30% perlite) although it will shock the plant, did i do the right thing? (will have pic up ASAP!)

that was the plant before the horable shriveled droopy mess it is now. plant is bout a month old. no idea what strain 12/12 light with my flora sun bulb. little nutes but flushed the soil already, and now i strait up replaced the soil now hopeing that was the problem.

Are you sure it just doesn't need h2o. They droop a lot when they need watered, and thats alright. If you have never seen that then it looks bad, but with a little water and time they perk right back up.

you should also check your ph, specially if your mix is 40 % peat moss, I found that using peat beyond peat pellets was a bad idea, made my soil way to acidic. Peat moss does help retain moisture, aerates the soil, improves drainage and helps the keep the soil from being compacted which is great but perlite is better because it finner and doesn't mess your ph, hope this helps

I agree with Blunted on this one. I would use perlite instead of peat moss. Much better choice. Are you sure the plant didn't need some water? Were the leaves wilted or was the entire plant droopy looking? If its wilted, it needs water. If its droopy, it may be overwatered. Keep us posted on your progress. I wish you the best of luck with it. Take care.

If I read this right, you flushed the soil then transplanted the plant into new soil? For the future, if your plant is already stressed with droopy leaves (or any symptoms), transplanting it will only create more stress, which is really not good. It will take longer to recover. smokybear is right, its probably under-watering or over-watering.

your not supposed cut and paste pics
