Can i hang my buds in the garage in winter?? it is getting to 20 Degrees and lower now. i'm not sure if they would dry or just freez.

John

If the temperature in your drying area is below freezing, the water in your bud will freeze, and slow moisture removal to a snailspace. If the humidity is rather low, the moisture in the bud will still evaporate, but it has to evaporate off the form of a solid, not a liquid. Much like trying to save a snowball in your freezer. It slowly just goes away.

I would not think you'd get good results from drying your buds in a below freezing environment. Can you fashion a drying area inside your grow area that breathes, but limits the amount of light into it? 2 to 3 days at 80 degrees and 30% RH should be all you need before throwing your buds into curing jars.

Hi Pot belly

how much of a Limit of light??? is this sun we are talking or just day light??

John

lower light the better.... light degrades thc... if you can't shade it i wouldn't worry about it... better to have it dry then rot/mould.

do it a dusk, when its not below freezing.

or use a cardboard box, and cut a hole, and shove a fan in it. hang the buds at top of box, shove a hanger through it.
