I found that I had better success with clones when I cut them off with a pair of scissors and idmediatly chucked 'em in a cup of water. After I'd cut all I wanted, I'd take each one and put a 45 degree cut on the stem and then right back into water. I used to use peat plugs and a heat mat, but then I started putting them right into my hydro setup with those little round foam thingies. That worked really good, but I just had to make a spray clone-o-matic. If I lost one, it was because the spray nozzle had plugged up.
No matter what I did, the trick was not to leave the cut part exposed to air.

I think we're are going to start using the ez-cloner. I'll set it up this weekend. But we have to be cautious about quantity of plants. Maybe add 5 rooted clones to the room per week during flower until the first group from seed is nearly completed. We have the tent so we can keep rooted clones as mothers or keep the OG moms already full and ready to cut the crap out of and flower clones out in 3g bags for a while.

Just picked up the part b we've been waiting for. Finally getting rhe right nutes to the autos tonight. The ULH really needs it. Dreamberry are deficient but still flowering without nutes.

I do that as well. Snip and throw in a cup of water till I can do them up proper. Air lock is a thing and once it hits it's over.

@MtnStew you have a ezcloner? Man I love them things. Super easy and damn near 100% on roots. I gotta make me another one someday but for now then plugs are doing the job without me spending more money on more crap..lol.
Yeah. A 64 site EZ-Cloner. I have never used them before. I know i need to get cloning solution to mix in the reservoir but other that i have never used it. Seems pretty straight forward though. I'll set it up eventually.

It’s on my list of things I wish I could afford.

Bro ya can throw plain water in there and it'll root them. These little tools are priceless when it comes to clones. Just throw a little gel or powder rooting compound on them and....

They will root!

pineapple express was drought stressed. Apparently she didnt get enough water in the last feed so she wilted. Took the screen off yesterday after watering. I'll put it back in a few days. She looks better now.

Once they get a couple more doses of bloom nutes they should be good. I know this is going to be one ugly plant.

Bud porn as soon as I see bud structure picking up on the dreamberry and start to see trichomes building. All 5 autos are behind by 2-3weeks on their nute schedule. Extra veg nutes did not do them well. I'd like to save face and say it was an experiment but in all honesty, I got Stoner brain and forgot they were autos requiring me to switch nutes after 4 or 5 weeks. 🤣🤣🤣 we'll. Nearly 8 weeks in. They got their bloom nutes now. 🤦

A couple adjustments today. Trying to make sure, when the tent becomes operational, that we can fit the 5 autos in half the tent.
I added the ULH to the tray with the dreamberry.

Now there's 8 photos in the other tray with room for 7 3 gallon grow bags in a line up the middle.

The SkunkOG is getting a healthier appearance these days. At least better than it was 2 weeks ago.

Bud formation has begun. I cannot wait for these to fill up with trichs.

Clones and seedlings are chugging right along. Half nutes yesterday, full nutes next week.
20250124_220915.jpg
More yellowing on the sun leaves of the branches in a cup. But more white bumps as well. I can't wait for the roots on these.
20250124_220902.jpg

And as I was getting ready to leave.... A leak. I removed 15 gallons from the tank to lower the pressure inside. Tightened the broken clamp enough for a slow drip into an empty bucket. I have clamps at home and will come back to fix this tomorrow afternoon or evening.

Plushberry mutation continues on 4+ tops now. Its sick to see a 7 blade leaf growing from a 9+ blade leaf.

autos arent getting anymore tucking. They are already delayed and ill just leave the screens alone. 3 out of 5 are nice flat even surfaces. The other 2 can just deal with it. 🤣

Plushberry filled in perfectly. Cant even tell i almost killed the main top on this. Grafting tape to the rescue! 😎

Looks good to me

Yeah, the idea is to train the plants into the screen but what your doing is fine. It'll keep them spread out for ya.

Photos tend to be a better choice for floaters but the work well on them too. Ya just don't get much veg time.

Yeah I have a lot of tucking and plucking to do today. Most of the photos are up through the screen enough to tuck them down into the next opening. Most of the screens are 18" squared or 24" squared. But I have plenty of time to increase that size if I really want to go bigger. I can easily do 36" on the Plushberry and LLS plants with the amount of time I have left in veg. Plus the stretch week after the flip.
I'm hoping to get the PE up to 36" as well but I'm not sure if I have the time to.

It kinda depends on the strain. Some get leggy while others not so much..

A standard time I use is ten days of training the first two weeks of flower. Some need pulled n tucked a little more if they are leggy. Most respond well to just ten days.

Autos, I tried it on them. The timing on them is so much different than photos. It's almost impossible to predict what size you'll get with autos.

You'll experiment with it and figure what works for you. Nice job so far. How you keep track of all that is a feat in itself..lol

That's nothing. I've done pheno hunts bigger than this grow.

That grow was 120 kept out of 200+ seeds popped and planted over the course of 3 weeks. By the third set of seeds i was already culling leggy and/or sativa dominant plants from the first set.

The new LEDS are insane compared to the MH/HPS days. I have never had every single plant so tightly packed between internodes. You would think that with the insane number of strains I have for this grow varying from 100% sativa to 70% indica dom that i would see some different growth overall. Yet nothing is really leggy. I do have the DLI up to 50+ with 3 of the 4 lights in use at 90% @ 16" for the veg and 90% @ 20" for the autos in flower.
Seedlings light is just set to 30 DLI @ around 35% power on a knob not daisychained or linked to the trolmaster at all.
