Twelve days after flipping. All the talk on the new beginnings thread about lights got me thinking I needed more in there. I have two TS-3000s (450W) and an XS1500 mounted at 45 degrees. But only had one TS-3000 running. I just turned the second one on, so I have 1050 watts lighting the room. I hope they don't get sunburned...

Taping is done finally! You can only procrastinate so long, and it was 70 degrees here today (27 tonight, and 40 tomorrow). I did leave a few places in the stairwell where there are scaffold anchors. I can do those after the ceiling is finished over the stairs. The tape at the top of the knee wall looks really wavy in the image, but it's not IRL. I had to go back out and check when I saw the image : )

Anyway, I hope to have at least the ceiling finished tomorrow, or at least the first pass finished. I'm not sure how much motivation I have to fix every little imperfection in an attic that no one but me will see most of the time.

I think the freaks have slowed their stretching finally. I thought I might have to raise the lights, but probably not anymore. Maybe it's the extra 400W light I turned on.

I remember finishing going a lot faster. I was younger then I guess. It didn't help having to spend a couple of hours sanding to get everything ready. I wanted to avoid that crap, but I guess not.

The temperature fell into the low 20's right after I started finishing. I made a mess testing a couple of areas that hadn't dried, and decided to wait a couple of days. Probably won't get much more done before Friday now, though I did go over most of the room with a sanding block, and patched a few places I had missed previously.

The freak clones are starting to take over. I went from having almost none of them root, to all of them rooting at once. So there are 11 clones, two of which are from the original smaller plant. I have two more cuttings from the smaller plant in the cloner that are less than a week old. They were in flower when I took them, so if they root, they still have some revegging to do.

There are also three seedlines out of maybe 20 seeds that both popped and survived. More than half did eventually pop, but died in the first week. The tap root would swell like a carrot, but not get any longer. I should have taken pics. The one extra small seedling isn't out of the woods yet, but it did open its leaves and push up into the light, so it's looking good. One of those better be a male!

There is also a Grease Monkey fem in a solo cup, and two random autos from the seeds I gathered. I took them from the cull pile, so I'm not sure what they really are. Brussel Sprouts are going out next week after the pool builders finally clean up our yard and move their crap out of the way.

I had almost half a day to play in the attic. Except for some hopefully minor sanding the ceiling is done. The walls above the knee walls are also done. The windows are good inside, but I have one more pass on the outside. Still not much to look at, but I should be painting this mess in another week. Of course, if I were doing this for a living, I would have been fired weeks ago : )

The two freaks drank 2.4 gallons each in 2 days. I've been giving them full strength GH 3 part nutes since I flipped them, actually I've doubled the bloom nutes. You would think there would be at least some nute burn, but... nothing. I noticed too that all of the regular leaf weed plants in the grow tent have some nute related issues (I almost thought it was thrips!). The freak clones and seedlings in there look just fine on exactly the same diet. These freaks are some really hardy plants, at least once they make it out of the seed.

Looking good CrashMagnet are you painting walls flat white? Are you going to have an air-conditioned? Carry on.
Thanks! Well, semi gloss white. It's easier to clean. I definitely need A/C. I haven't decided exactly how I'm going to set that up, though. I want to use a portable, but our HOA is being difficult. I think someone told them what I grow in my shop : )

Simi gloss is not as reflective as flat white latex. Gloss paints can cause hot spots.

Flat white paint has the ability to reflect between 75-85% of the light, and does not create hotspots. Glossy and eggshell whites not reflect light as efficiently as flat white. Semi-gloss paint for example, only has the ability to reflect between 55-60% of the light.
